Passed away aged 85. My first memory as a 5 year old, seeing his picture on my elder brothers wall, He was ecstatic when he got his autograph, idolised the Palace and I was certified football-mad already. I doubt if he ever earned anything like the £20 per week maximum wage. Happy days, thank you Barry Pierce......

R.I. P. Barry he lodged with us during his Palace days.i came home from Croydon Tech.School one afternoon to find Barry,Mike Deakin Jimmy Belcher,Johnny Byrne & George Cooper playing my Rock & Roll records.Mum liked him as he was polite and friendly.
