Their appeals process is shambolic as well, many cases where new DNA or other forensic tests should clear a convicted person but the courts refuse to examine it because the law allowing appeals is to narrow. All of this plus the very real risk of being killed (100+ officers pa) and racism is the least of the problems. IF, this was to happen, as we all know in most cities in the states & smaller towns there are 'no-go areas. NOW, what if the localised Police were to be defunded, i can see the gangs, moving in, establishing there 'turf' & then you would/will have all out war between rival gangs. So, there will be daily shootings(they dont do namby pamby knife crime), WHO, are the aggrieved residents/families going to contact for help? Cant see the Medics rushing in to help as they wont have any back-up. Medical insurance will either be removed or will rocket in price & you will just end up with huge uncontrollable ghettos that used to be cities.
