What's our ideal transfer window?

I suppose this hinges on whether Wilf stays or goes, but I have resigned myself to losing him if i'm honest. If that does happen, I'd love to sign:

Ryan Fraser
Ollie Watkins
Rhian Brewster (loan)
Flynn Downes?

Ship out Benteke if at all possible (sorry Benteke lovers)

For me, this would be a great window, with a low net spend depending on Wilf money. Watkins is high in demand and wouldn't be cheap, but what a signing he would be... thoughts?

I'm thinking at least have 25 good squad players. Not four or five goalies. Two will do plus an 18 year old if all else goes tits up.
Secondly, have first choice and cover in every position.
Don't leave one position until we are in the relegation zone at Christmas.
I think this year that means we need Fraser, another winger and a striker and we're fine.
Fail on this and it's our usual muddle through with Meyer or McArthur on the wing when Wilf is injured which I personally find terrible. Plus Townsend seems so powder puff these days that he is no more than adequate cover. Could he rediscover form? I'm not seeing it.
Ayew will not play every game, nor should he, but he would probably try by the looks of the effort he puts in. He's like two Alan Lee's without the bandage. So a striker required.

If we get Conor Gallagher in that's 3 good additions.

With a limited budget i'd like Brewster on loan and we definitely need another winger, even if Zaha stays.

I'd prefer Fraser, if wages are reasonable, but Ibe, if he can prove fitness would be ok.

Fraser last played for Bournemouth in early May and to the best of my knowledge hasn't been training with any club nor played any game since then.

Ibe's last game was nearly a year ago, in September last year.

I suspect if we wanted wither Ibe or Fraser we would want them first on trial for a week or so, especially Ibe, due to fitness concerns.

There was no football in May so i assume you mean March for Fraser. Point taken but Max missed all pre season 2 years ago and we still signed him for massive wages.Same with Sako (ex Wolves) a couple of years before.
We also signed Sakho on loan for a massive loan fee when he hadn't kicked a ball in over 6 months and was clearly unfit.
