Kneeling Remains. Will You?

Black armbands and kneeling need to be done with thought and information (for whom), otherwise either event probably loses all meaning. In the palace team we have a mix of black, white, and foreign players. When we celebrate a goal we are acknowleing an achievement. Going out to take down a statue is following the mob. Those who have done well enough to be remembered in stone have achieved in their time - just like Usain Bolt. it is worth a look at the statues on the outside of the Westminster Abbey wall to obtain an appreciation of how we got to where we are. Another place to look at is the Wettern Tree Garden. from memory Mr Wettern was an importer of nails and took an interest in tree seeds - creating a display of living and educational statues. All people need to think about what previous events have done to make their lives matter.

Players are allowed to do as they wish during the match, unless FIXA or UEFA or whoever start banning political gestures again but that’ll only by one kind of salute like Paula Di Canio’s at Lazio. But setting aside an organised minute before the match is different. If the premier league want to they can blow the kick off whistle and if the team doesn’t kick off then 2 players can get booked and sent off. This isn’t going to go well if it continues when the fans get back and sky and bt etc could lose revenue before. Many fans will either chant during it, turn their backs or turn up after it. It’s because it’s a marxist and black power movement. Just replace the s*** with ‘End racism’ and some other acknowledgement and a little less subservient and people might not be so put off by it. We are divided by many things supporting your club is one of the few things that brings men and yes I mean men together regardless of their politics, class or where they came from. I remember Sasa Curcic doing his walk around the ground in support of the Serbians I was very unhappy that the club allowed that. Often father son relationships are tricky football is a safe topic of discussion where they can bond. Keep all politics out of it. Edited by Rudi Hedman (31 Aug 2020 11.05am) In the Belgium Scalectix y/day, apart from the fact 8 of the drivers refused to kneel, the only person to wear a 'Black Power Fisted BLM' shirt was Hamilton & only 12 others either wore or had 'End Racism' shirts. I wonder if fans replica shirts will have the logo's on the bottom of the shirts? If so, i certainly be buying one.

In response to the OP's question, I am deeply conflicted. I abhor racism but the aims of the BLM movement are clear and extreme - I do not back them at all and if Palace are to retain my support, the club and league will have to distance itself from these extremists. If football is to become another branch of political culture wars, I am out. I will simply go fishing instead. I am already done with Sky and will never pay them another penny. If the kneeling and all that palaver remains - I am out. Done not just with Palace but all football.

Personally I would never kneel, unless before Mistress. Ozil apparently refused at the Arse and went off in a huff. Good luck to him black lives do matter but they don't need this futile and inappropriate gesture. We would be better occupied in getting the Windrush people their dough such is the deception of anything the tories promise.
