I don't know who says that as everyone knows that it's just a tiny minority

You still don't get it.

Everyone doesn't know. I've heard with my own ears people who've never been near a football ground in their lives comment on how racist football fans are. One, having seen the kneeling on a news bulletin, said to me (when I mentioned at work that I supported CPFC) "I never realised there was so much racism in football...it's shocking...etc etc" Nicholas91 makes the point that the kneeling generates or perpetuates this myth, whatever the actual motivations of the kneelers may be.

You and N91 both know it's a minority, as do I. I haven't heard racist language at a football ground since about 1990.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

I believe that the majority of the racism is on Twitter rather than at the grounds

I disagree. The racist side of football is practiced by a tiny minority of thickos

I prefer the word 'halfwits' although 'thickos' is just as valid.

I did state 'every single person [exhibits racism]' however and you have verbatim labelled them as a 'tiny minority' which I would suggest is an agreement. I would also argue that the identification, sanctioning and removal of a tiny minority requires a concentrated effort and not a meagre gesture to all, every single game.

I feel as though I fall into a category of those who do not feel as though they need to be watching players et al kneel to understand 'not to be racist' in any context let alone football. Those that may well need this lesson, in my opinion, will not be won over, educated or change their stances with a 'kneel'. That was my point. There is also the gripe, albeit quite petty, that it can feel as though the majority are being tarred with the same brush as the minority, which can irk and is incorrect and damaging.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

And apparently the vast majority of it is from overseas accounts as opposed to people who actually attend the matches.

Of course but why would sky and the bbc highlight it. Their profound arse licking to blm would have to stop and then social media would cancel them. Aww so sad

The Head of The Premier League has said: "We know more can be done to remove barriers to make football more inclusive and that football will benefit from greater diversity across all areas of the sport."

Where and what on earth are these barriers? Are we talking black people, women, trans folk, disabled??!!

Tell you what Slimey, they're sure as hell not talking about you, me or the rest of the folk on here who just want to watch a football match uninterrupted by any posturing, political virtue signalling.

The PL should realise that this feeble gesture will have little or no effect whatsoever on the behaviour of a small minority who will always act like idiots.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

well, we do need to make football more inclusive and more diverse.

To my knowledge there are zero footballers from the Royal family, the aristocracy or even the kids of Industrialist billionaires.

Even those from political dynasties....they seem to do well in the teams of banana republics but not here. Did Ewan Blair ever don the England shirt ? If Colonel Ghadaffi could field a team of his cousins & nephews, why not here ?

shockingly poor levels of diversity.

Eze Peasy at Anfield....

More inclusive to blacks, has he ever watched us the fool. Most of our squad are black and tons of fans arnt white but I don’t ever hear or see anything remotely racist in our ground. Ffs half of my footy buddies around me are black.

Silva blatantly cheating is for me a far bigger issue for football right now than BLM movement. If football condone openly cheating, which it does, what message does that send to youngsters? The damage an ‘elite’ cheat has on youngsters who spend their lives being influenced by the players is untold.
Football here should lead by example and stamp out cheating in a very big way. Wilf must be the most cynically persecuted player in football. He has been constantly fouled and it is constantly ignored. It is RUINING games and the flow of the game. Same with Ayew.
Football is so hypocritical. Get shot of taking the knee and stamp down on stopping the free flow of the game. It’s ruining it for us fans.
I don’t come to make or support a political movement. I come to watch fast flowing football. This is being seriously denied at Crystal Palace games. How many players have been sent off for constantly fouling our players? How many have walked for constantly cheating against us? Virtually none.
Is it going unnoticed that our team is being badly persecuted? Yes. Very definitely.
This is what our regulators should be addressing. Not some political movement from USA.
Wake up FA. Look at solving your own problems. Sin bins should be top of your list not taking the knee.
