I raided his piggy bank so he could pay me for a new charger for his phone, he destroys his own then steals mine so I ordered one on ebay for him and made him pay us back. He is 17 he must learn that bank of mum and dad is coming to an end.

Good idea mate-(also handy to know it"s there in an emergency).

I asked in the bank the other day and they had no date set for when the old £20 notes would no longer be legal tender. Even then banks will still swap old notes for new for a considerable time after.

As someone who does a couple of duties a week serving in a shop, I hate these new plastic notes. Once folded you can't flatten them out again and you end up with an unruly pile of notes in the cash till. When I took a pile of notes into the bank the other day to be deposited the clerk on at the desk was struggling to count them as they springing all over the place.

So true Pete. I stick mine in my phone case with a card when I go out. It's like a fan when I take them out. Maybe I need a bigger phone case to keep them flat.
