By refusing to step down and knowing she was terminally ill she in effect gave the GOP a 6-3 in the SCOTUS so when Trump wins and the Dems cry foul as Hilary has said they will, the SCOTUS will be there to confirm the actual winner.

My money is on the Cuban lady from Florida, Barbara Lagoa. Her appointment will ensure the Donald gets every Cuban vote and they will turn out.

Dems have fooked up in Fla. by being so far left.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

When you wonder why suddenly academic lunatics want to ban words like "mankind" "manmade" "serviceman" "postmaster" then look no further than RBG.

She championed this nonsense to change the "feel" of society so citizens are less likely to value their heritage and culture and vote Left.

She was not to keen on the traditional family either and listed hundreds of words that should be eliminated.

When you wonder why the world is going mad and why the democratic Christian West is encouraged to hate itself then remember RBG as a loyal soldier in that cause.

But in the end her self importance will change the US for a long time if a conservative judge gets on.

If so, the next time the Dems get in they will expand the court to however many they think will serve their left wing agenda.

I don't think America will ever knowingly elect a left wing government, it's the by stealth method the dems rely on.

Just intelligence of any kind would be a refreshing change for all parties in Westminster

Yep, but god forbid we have another layer of paid elitist politicians.

It's getting to the stage where AI would be cheaper and make a hell of a lot more sense.....said tongue in cheek of course.

Dems have fooked up in Fla. by being so far left.

Republicans have won Florida the last few elections in the same way they have targeted and won other key states, by removing certain groups ability to vote.

They took away the right to vote for convicted felons.
They purged tens of thousands of peoples names from the voters lists purely on their stated belief that they were ineligible to vote. I used to work elections in Miami, and each and every election people would show up to vote, who had a right to vote, to find their name was no longer on the list.

They make it harder for the poor to vote, last time around they reduced early voting drastically compared to the previous years.

This year they are trying to prevent mail in voting.

As to RBG stepping aside when she knew she was terminal, do you even know how American politics works ? It has been 6 years since the Democrats held a majority in the senate, she was not terminally ill 6 years ago.

Trump does not need the Cuban vote, he has it already. Cubans hate democrats since Kennedy.

There is admittedly something to this. A pre-emptive mantra of how corrupt mail in voting is - before the votes have even been cast - is obviously as much strategy as concern. It's just setting up a scenario where Trump wins on the night (since polls suggest that vastly more republicans will vote in person*) and then rubbish the mail ins to such an extent that states or even the supreme court declares before even counting them. Trump admitted as much:

"We need nine justices. You need that. With the unsolicited millions of ballots that they're sending, it's a scam, it's a hoax"

"We're going to have to see what happens. I've been complaining very strongly about the ballots. And the ballots are a disaster.... get rid of the ballots and there will be—there won't be a transfer, there will be a continuation. You know it. You know it. And the Democrats know it."

Let's say there are some issues beyond the mantra with voting this way or that. It doesn't get away from the fact that based on how people are likely to vote, it's impossible for democrats to win if mail ins are turfed out. That of course is why we're seeing the mail service grind to a standstill and voting by mail demonised.

Some states are already planning on disregarding the ballots via appointing royal electors:

News networks are always desperate to declare a winner on election night, and if as appears very likely, Trump is significantly ahead on the night but probably behind in totality, all he needs is to ride the 'we won!' wave long enough to disrupt or stop the count. Undemocratic and possibly not at all representative of the result of the election, but in my view the likely scenario to pan out and outcome of this election. As such despite them being similar odds, I'd be very surprised if Trump isn't President for another four years.

Even if that doesn't happen though, it's not like Biden and the dems are a dream outcome. I don't really think there is a good outcome for this election really. Bernie I liked in some ways because regardless of what some may think of his politics, he's principled - and in fact frozen out repeatedly by his own party. Pretty much everyone else in politics is in it for themselves or in someone or others pocket.

*among Trump supporters, only 11 percent said they planned to vote by mail, and 66 percent said they planned to vote in person on Election Day. Among Joe Biden backers, 47 percent said they planned to vote by mail, while only 26 percent said they planned to vote in person on Election Day [Link]

Actually there are reports coming in from Ohio that the FBI have found sacks of overseas votes from I'm guessing service personnel dumped in the garbage.
Not surprisingly not much mention on the news networks, probably because most of these votes were for Trump.
