Impressive stuff. It bodes well if we keep this early momentum going.

Gary Neville can sure talk cr*p, not happy about the pen or the retake. Have to admit I do sympathize with him a bit but not to take anything away from our lads. Great effort, Toffees next.

Man U's first game, so they were not up to speed. They played rubbish. An 'off' game. All we did is defend deep, and got lucky with the breaks. One swallow doesn't make a summer. Still playing turgid football. Roy out.

A sample of the the comments that will be posted

Surely Mitchell must keep his place, involved in two of the three goals today and defensively sound. He was solid last week against Southampton as well. For all the goals PVA's scored for us, he has cost us more points from his defensive blunders. Maybe we can try playing him further upfield.

We should look to tie Mitchell up for the long term, losing him would be a bigger blow than Wan-Bissaka.

Any young full backs in out team have to spend all day marking Zaha and then hitting on the break. Im not surprised we keep producing talent in that position!

Jeez our injury situation at the back is ridiculous. Sakho just back in training and now Dann out. Let's hope Sakho can last more than in his last comeback. Asking quite a lot from him considering his recent injury record.

Gonna have to be one hell of a display to get anything from today. Maybe some entertainment when Eze and Bats hopefully get an outing later on.

COYP.

Well I said it'd have to be one hell of a performance to get anything and boy did they give it. Brilliant display all through the team (including the lads in VAR). Got done over by decisions in the last game so deserved a bit of luck today. United did look rusty but you can only beat what's in front of you and we did that brilliantly. I'm glad Wilf has finally got one over on United.

Enjoy that everyone

Hats off to Schlupp today. My motm and ran himself into the ground. Wilf looking better and better. We more than deserved the win today. Going back to 442 and we suddenly look dangerous again. Absolutely buzzing!

I know... When the commentator says it looks like Lindeloff moved his arm towards the ball slightly Neville replied 'No that's just his natural arm movement from running'.... Laughable!!

For what it's worth I did think it was a penalty... I thought the retake was a harsh decision though... Not sure why but Ayews body language just made me feel like he would miss before he stepped up.

Fantastic result... Superb performance and I'm not surprised McCarthy came off towards the end... He was absolutely immense and was everywhere.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Congrats to the team on a very solid performance.

Had our luck but then again we got none when we last played them back in July

Tyrick developing rapidly. Still room for improvement but I think he can make it at this level.

Hahaha - Just had a quick look on a United forum and its in meltdown!

A few moans about the penalty but in the main most say we deserved our win.

Lots of sack Ole/sack the board......now where have i heard that?

Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.

Ha It's called irony. I thought we were excellent, congratulations to Roy and the team. We now have a variety of options up front, and I must say we look so much more fluid without Luka. Hopefully Roy will keep him on the bench for a while.
