Me too - I heard nothing like that.
I do remember the sickening racist abuse when Charlton lost to Liverpool at SP in the 1980s. I went as a neutral (sort of) but that turned me off Charlton for ever.

The Ian Wright song was sung loud and clear for a fair amount of that game

If you've watched the History DVD, he explains why he kissed the badge, the abuse he was getting, mums house being painted on etc, but he also said sorry, whether he truly meant it or not I don't know.

I don't pay that much attention to him. He was great for us but I never bothered watching him when he left. The only thing I did think was he probably deserved more England caps. As a pundit he always seems to support Arsenal but that's his business I guess. We didn't get enough money for him was a big gripe for me.

Replacing him with Gabbiadini was our down fall. At that time our stock was high, finishing 3rd, we could have got Les Ferdinand, for probably the same price.

Seconded but there was a particularly nasty song which was sung almost constantly, I don't blame Ian Wright for kissing the badge that day.
The rebuilt (North?) stand had until a few weeks previously had a mural of the "fans" and I was convinced it was still there until they scored.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

We already had Stan Collymore on our books but allegedly Mark Bright didn't want to play with him.

Would you want to play up front with a dogging, wife beating bully?

Brighty also advised Parish to sell Murray.

Gabbiadini was totally unsuited to Brighty as well as the other 9.

The BBC seem to have some odd ideas about who makes good media pundits as both Ian Wright talking about football and Phil Tufnell talking about cricket are about the worst that one could come across
