In that 94-5 season when we went down fourth from bottom with 45 points it was the run in that finally did for us. In the last six games we had to play four of the top six sides and of course we lost them all.

Sheffield United are definitely worse than us, West Brom and Brighton maybe about the same, Fulham probably not but they have a lot of ground to make up. The next 7 games are massive for us, it will be interesting to see where we are after then. What worries me is even if we bring in a player or two, which is unlikely, Roy won’t play them.

Unlikely that WBA and Sheffield Utd will survive but one can never be sure.

Sheffield Utd, Fulham, WBA, Brighton, Burnley and Newcastle won't finish above us. When Big Sam kept us up he brought in PVA, Jeffery Schlupp, Miliovejic and Sakho on loan. All have been great signing and it is no wonder we stayed up. In one of his recent WBA post game interviews he said he had players lined up but due to various Brexit restrictions he could not sign them. I think he and other managers are therefore going to find it hard to get anyone in good enough to help make a difference and improve there teams to not only to be better than ourselves but be better to an extent then can make up the points we are already ahead.

God, yes remember it, Oldham needed to win their last 3 games & we needed 1 point, just one measly point. They did & we didnt. if that wasnt bad enough, one of the games they won (0-1 i think ?) was beating a Villa side that was close to winning the league.

Do you mean "worse" or "worst"? As you've named 10 teams I'm not sure what you mean. However, I think the three worst teams are Fulham, WBA, and A Villa. We could easily finish above all those you have mentioned, and likely will. imho Villa😂😂😂😂

I think Fulham may escape. At the moment they are a better side than us and actually have a real go at the big teams. Played very well v Man U last and RLC was superb driving at their back four, just what we need now.

With two weeks of the transfer window still to go it’s difficult to say but having said that there’s probably never been a worse time to get promoted to the Premier League with very little money around due to a lack of fans so assuming the season gets finished it’s going to be a long and painful 8 months or so for all 3 of the promoted clubs. I’m not buying into Sky’s Leeds love-in, I think they are just as likely as the other two. I believe I posted this possibility on HOL not so long ago. Apropos WBA, they might well add a few to their ranks and I am not discounting the fact that Allardyce will save them from the dreaded drop.

I started this thread because I thought it’d be relevant and think it now is again. Sheffield United beaten by WHU and Newcastle look set to lose. Have that all to familiar feeling of watching the games or monitoring the results of those below us now with equal interest to how we actually get on!
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |
