I mean Florian Marange (was that his name? French left back signed under Holloway) got signed then didn't even make it into the 25 man squad. That takes some beating... although I guess we never actually got to see how bad he was! Who was the other left back we also signed that year who was also pretty useless. Ex United and spurs man.

The £10m a year that Benteke has likely cost us (wages and depreciation) are eye watering and have hobbled us. Depends what worst means. Worst player or worst value for money. Outright worst, some bit-part player of little relevance. Worst VFM: Benteke (People say he kept us up for a season...i say a good £10m player might well also have kept us up and risen in value. Murray could also have got more goals that year had Tekkers not been around)
