I wonder what labour think that what police cuts have to do with this incident?

Maybe more police would mean more stop and search .......... oh, hang on, they’re against that.

Immediately Labour MP’s were responding with ‘police cuts.’

Although they’re right that it is an issue, like you say, that didn’t motivate him to be scum. And they should’ve waited a bit to find out he was dealing class B drugs as well as being on the terrorist watch list. Great. People on the terrorists have list in Croydon. Just warms your heart. Now where will one warped Cvnt decide to blow himself up in? I wonder.

We know the Labour party have no credibility whatever.

They are desperate for votes and will say or do anything to get them. Never forget Brexit and what those scumbags tried to do.

Labour are right as tory austerity has meant severe cuts to police and support services.

The voters knew that when they voted for them, its no good crying wolf now.

The Blair years had a successful policy 'tough on crime and its causes', it worked.

But its not a question of one horrific isolated incident, things have to be seen in the round.

So more police would have saved this officer?

Labour are against stop and search.

Tony Blair increased violent crime by allowing people from violent societies and backgrounds to come here, some of whom then have feral offspring who take pride in violence and seemingly have no morality, as we understand it, at all.

Tony Bliar & Crash Gordon also increased the number of kids growing up without a father in the home.

which correlates strongly with crime problems later on.

Bliar has also allowed a Tsunami of single men of military age into the country....upsetting the gender balance and creating a violent society.

Nothing to do with Race. The reason the cowboy towns of the Wild-West were violent was they were full of men. The lessons of History & Sociology are clear. But ignored by Tony Bliar and all his Lefty friends.

RiP Matt Ratana....he served on the beat in the Selhurst area.

Good morning H but I won't be doing 'feral offspring' thank you very much.

Just coffee and cheese-cake.

The Blair years were a long time ago and it did appear as though his policies were starting to get a handle on it. However Labour has changed beyond all recognition since then - although Starmer may drag it back. The Corbyn years were an unmitigated disaster and it will take a while for them to remove some of the idiots from that legacy. However, in this tragic case, police numbers feel irrelevant and gaining political points from this tragedy just articulates the depths and poor behaviours that politicians will sink to in a bid to feel better about themselves and their flawed policies.
I would have been more interested had they cited that a lack of capital investment has meant that they couldn’t afford to instal full body scanning devices at the door to custody suites.

I'd be more concerned that they might do you.

Enjoy your breakfast.

A fair comment. It is a typically British political attitude to expect people on the front line to do their jobs with the minimum.

Agreed.

Most crime is committed by young men increase that demographic and what do you expect.

Now would be a good time to increase police numbers, per head of population we have far fewer than other equivalent countries. Let's increase police, army and NHS staff to take up the slack as unemployment goes up.

Who would want to join the police when they are cast as the villian when trying to do their jobs?
Who would want to join the army and fight for a country that is being destroyed from the inside?
Who wants to work for the NHS for low pay and awful hours? My recent experiences of the local hospital is that it is in chaos.
