(Curse my fat clumsy fingers, you beat me by a second)

Seems like a very specific target, rather than some random shooting.
Hope when they find the killer, they are banged-up and the key thrown away

No details of the shooter yet, so I guess we can draw our own conclusions...

He was already in custody and is critical in hospital. If he was in the custody suite how did he have access to a firearm.? Wrestled from Officer or softly softly approach to searching? Either scenario is very worrying.
RIP to Officer killed

According to bbc & others the shhoter was arrested somewhere put into a van & driven to custody ctr in Windmill Rd. Shot the officer then shot himself, both taken to hospital, where the officer died.

And some politicians complain about police heavy handiness. This is why, they never know what situation they are getting into.

I hope there is a minute or two silence at tomorrows game to show respect for the officer - after all, Police Lives Matter.

Dream on.

A senior officer has told the BBC

"Asked about how someone could enter the building while armed, former Det Ch Insp Chris Phillips said: "I think police officers are probably less likely to search people now with all the furore that goes on."

Just awful and I'm in shock to be honest.

I knew the officer involved and worked with them for a number of years at Croydon.

Just unbelievable.
