ok clever one tell me which manager is going to come in and having us play like man city or spurs.

Now you really are being stupid. No one expects us to play like city or spurs, just to play with a little more attacking flare...if you really think with the players we have that 1 shot the whole game, at home against brighton is acceptable, then enjoy the season

My mistake, I thought you were comparing our match against theirs, where we both got a point, but they at least had a few shots...

It seems to me that people are currently more disappointed than they were during that terrible losing run at the end of the season.
Even erstwhile Hodgson fans are questioning his methods despite us having a reasonable points total this season.
It may be because we have essentially surrendered in our last two games with only one shot on target.
Perhaps people were hoping for more with the addition of new signings to lead to more adventurous football.
But one thing is for sure ; the new signings will have to adapt to Roy as opposed to the other way round.
If Eze doesn’t support the full back defensively he won’t play regardless of what he offers going forward.
If Batshuayi doesn’t offer the defensive qualities and work rate of Ayew he won’t be used other than as an impact sub, even if he offers more than Ayew as a finisher.

And yet the same manager was happy to use him for most of his loan period last time despite the same failings. The offside goal and the won penalty on Sunday showed in a nutshell what Batshuayi is - an out-and out striker. He was also in position for a cross that Brighton managed to just cut out and so stop it reaching him in a bit of space.

Roy has complained about our conversion rate of chances. Batshuayi is the man who can improve that and I would hope Roy can see that.

ok not man city or spurs then so answer my original question, which manager do you want to come in and keep us up or better in the top ten.

Everyone is blaming Roy's tactics but the players must also except their share of responsibility. Sky
reported yesterday that we are 20th in the league for number of passes and passing accuracy. On that basis is it any wonder that we struggle? Surely Roy doesn't train them to misspass!

but he should be training them to pass properly

Dyche likes boring players, he moulds them to his style. He is defensive minded like Roy, Allardyce and Pulis as that keeps you away from relegation. Its been proven many times.

One can predict with a high degree of certainty the topic of debate if we lose against Fulham on the back of yet another turgid display.
There will be a hostile and restive atmosphere on HOL with posts that will come under the heading "Lugubrious".
