The ultimate horror story and more like the nightmare scenario that a dream team.

Both have previous management experience and both failed dismally at it.

I assume that your post was tongue in cheek anyway

Most managers have failed in the past. The only ones that haven’t are out of our price range.

His methodology has not changed from the days when he managed Fulham.

Fulham supporters whom I talked to when Mr Hodgson was handed the 'Reins' at our club were very complimentary about him and were in no doubt that he would ensure our survival in the PL.

Key for me in that was Simon Davies' comment that the players were "converted" to Roy's style. I don't see that in our team at the moment.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Freedman and Derry would be within our price range.
Former players,know the club!
Nearly 450 games between them on the managerial 'Throne'.

His ‘methodology’ was found wanting at Liverpool and with England and seems to have unravelled in the last year with us.
He has shown no inclination to embrace change and while some will see that as a strength I would see it as regressive.
His desire to turn Eze into Townsend is just one example.
His defensive organisation was seen as a strength in the past but 73 goals conceded in the last 40 games with only 7 clean sheets would suggest otherwise.
It’s time for a change at the end of the season.

Freedman and Derry.
Surely a reasonable combination to take us forward??

The 40 games includes of course this unusual season, games in quick succession with only a limited pre-season, and games in 'Project Restart' with a condensed schedule.
An aged squad have been really tested physically and of course fatigue can have an abject affect on defensive organisation.

Derry in midfield, Freedman up front. Would be around the same age and ability of most of the rest of the squad.

When it comes down to it is the answer to this question:

Given the current squad can you think of a manager who could make better use of what we have ?

Apart from those obviously unavailable or out of our modest price range, answers on a very long sheet of paper, please (and you may include Frank de Boer if you so wish)

More excuses for him - Teflon Roy indeed.!
All clubs have had similar issues.
Is there anything you think Hodgson is doing or has ever done wrong, Willo?

Apart from Palace, Freedman's two other managerial posts have been with Bolton and Nottingham Forest both of which ended with Freedman's tail between his legs.

Shaun Derry has a similar managerial CV as he was sacked from his first two managerial roles before stepping down a peg to first team coach with the mighty Oxford United and further down to coach of our development squad

I respect Mr Hodgson for his managerial longevity, managing both at International and club level, and at some of the world's most famous clubs.
He is very much respected globally.

I am also very appreciative of the fact that he came to us when were not best placed and despite 7 straight defeats with 0 goals he took us up to 11th place in his first season and has kept us in the PL for 3 seasons with an ageing squad and on a minimum spend.

He deserves credit for what he has achieved before he joined our club and for his efforts whilst he has held the managerial 'Reins' at CPFC.
