Get Frank in now, some good young players from the Championship in the Summer, clear out the dead wood and play a bit of football. If we go down next year, we are likely to anyway with Roy, so nothing to lose. Better football to watch, and it might work out just fine.

I have had enough of the current dross.

my main gripe is when opinins swing like a manic depressant week to week over a mangers tenure...judge things over a cumulative period.

if a managers MO for the season is the accrue enough points to stay up comfortably then dont hammer him for doing so.

if roy had spent £200m and we were in this situation in would think very differently.

roy isnt stupid, 40+ years as a elite level manager proves this...my boss wouldnt sack me if i had a bad month if i had delivered for the 4 years previous and i was going to hit plan for the year.

Is that his only target? How do you know? Time will tell on that anyway - we are a long way from the end of the season.

I think you'll find you're wrong to want our manager to go now.

Roy and I are of a similar age and it is logical to think that his mind will be more reflective than forward looking.
That is not to say I am averse to new ideas but I feel that some time we have to admit that a younger man can do a better job. We need a fresh approach.

Thank you Roy, you were just what we needed when you arrived and since.
It is time for change. Like your own players when they do not fit the present situation they have to go.

(Like Meyer, big mistake in my opinion to allow him to go. Compare him with our current creative midfield dross.)

Thank goodness for Covid - at least I don't have to travel 2 hours each way to Selhurst just to tear my hair out in frustration.

Just like the team and the manager, time is catching up with me and I have probably bought my last season ticket.

My wallet is sending a message to the board, and frankly, the board needs to take an interest my decision.

Some people on here make me thankful they don't run the club. We'd be nowhere near the standard we are today as an established Premier League club if they were.

As frustrating as Roy can be, what are you expecting - exactly? Consistent top half finishes challenging for Europe? Great! Well we're gonna need to spend a tiny bit more than a 5er every 3 seasons to achieve that.

Until then, Roy Hodgson will have kept us comfortably up 4 years on the spin. And trust me, with Scott Dann as a regular starter - that is some achievement.

I agree with those who think it is a good time to make a change, it will give a new man time to bed in for next year and see for himself how weak we are in key positions. We are still (god knows how) 14pts above the bottom 3 this SHOULD take some pressure off any new appointment, also it would give us an opportunity to see if they are a good fit for us with a possibilty of making another change in the summer if the appointment goes badly. I still think in the future when we look back at Roys tenure it will be largely viewed as a success over all but for now his time has come.

One of the biggest mysteries in life is that loud stupid people normally don't have even the slightest inclination that they are stupid.
