We've got a "gentleman" at the helm who in his younger days, flew half way round the world to play football in South Africa. Ignoring all the sanctions and boycotts because "he was desperate to play". He built a long illustration and mostly fraudulent career on the back of it.

I'm sure Nelson Mandela and his comrades would say their prison sentences and persecution was worth it, if Roy got to kick a ball around.

Maybe he was just oblivious to global news.

The notion some have on here that all, or even most, adult, senior professional footballers can be made significantly better than they are by a manager is amazing to me.

Yes the buck stops with the manager but players can also play scared, hide from the ball, pass badly no matter how much they passed well in training, act like a spoilt child, mistime tackles etc, that’s football . See above

Whatever your views on Roy are up to you, but not to blame the players or to say they have let down Roy even just a little bit seems bizarre to me
