Totally agree. The art of being a good manager is taking a group of individuals and turning them into a team.

I would say we are under performing as a team and that is the manager’s responsibility, no-one else’s.

Some will argue you can only work with what you have which is of course true, however Roy’s selections of the same players week in week out regardless of performance, tells me he has only one plan and that is to force players into his model of play rather than adapt the play to suit the squad he has.

This is also why he ignores youth, because he will not rely on them to adhere to his strict instructions. His management style didn’t work with England once the pressure was on, it didn’t work in Italy, nor at Liverpool and it’s stopped working with us.

I mentioned this yesterday and questioned where Roy was in all this, but got told I know nothing about football - this is the coaches job..!!

Can you imagine Alex Ferguson after a first half performance like yesterdays leaving it to Queiroz, McLaren, Knox etc.. to get his point over - no..!!

Having first hand experience of Semi-Pro football, it was the Manager that gave you the "kick up the A@s" when things weren't going well if anything the coach was the pacifier.

It all just seemed a little odd to me and pointed towards that Roy for whatever reason is unable to get his point across and motivate the players.

I have said before on here IMO Roy has lost the dressing room and the players are not playing for him - yesterday and his curious after match comments just reaffirm that for me.

But as I have said that is my experience and opinion and others are welcome to their own and their own interpretation.

As you said in your reply "has been" but we are talking in the "here and now" and that IMO is the whole crux of the issue..!!

He is not doing it now and it is not working now..!!

Hence Roy needs to go and go now and we need to appoint a new, younger and hungrier Manager with new and fresh ideas to galvanise and get the most out of the squad and move on.

Yes he's been good but as we all know all good things must come to an end and now is that time for Roy.

The 'Board of course might be taking a different view.

They will see that we are not in the relegation zone and points wise there is some daylight between what we have acquired and what the others in the relegation positions have accrued.
