I doubt that you commented on any though. Or that we finished mid table. And I'd bet that you didn't comment on the two wins this season.

Thanks for your comments Tim.

Eddie Howe will be back in a job well before Roy retires.

Who might have him? Barnsley? Struber should have been the type of manager we should be looking at

We should be finishing lower mid table. Well done Roy. You've done the minimum of what was expected of you whilst playing incredible boring football, lining your own pockets whilst emptying our as we watch the slow decline of a club that's lost all reason to be optimistic. You've worked the same miracle that Pulis, Pardew, and BFS did..... moving on.

We know the 3 predicessors listed have good spells but aren't outstanding. Managers have a shelf life before they run out of ideas and grind to a hault. Credit for his first two seasons (although arguably Pardew's first two full seasons were better with a worse squad) but he can't keep hiding behind excuses for last year. I think Roy is the longest serving manager in the premiership that hasn't won a league or promotion. Hodgson own motivation seems to have dwindled over time too.

Dyche I see as someone who can build long term success. Howe would be a risk but the whole squad could do with someone fresh coming in to break the lethargy and add a bit of life back into things. Like Roy and BFS, he may come here feeling he has something to prove. We'd get a couple of good seasons out of Howe and it would be worth paying/travelling to go to Selhust and watch again.

Wagner is currently out of the job again.

There's a long list of others the do the merry-go-round, Silva, Pearson, Houghton etc. Wouldn't want any but it would stick some life in the team.

Hodgson was a long, long way down the list of prefered managers when he appointed and if we appointed a manager from scratch again, he probably still wouldn't be first choice. Apparently Parish wasnt willing to pay Dyche's release clause from Burnley at the time. Then it cost more to sack FDB.

The club would be wise to be looking for a longer term replacement now, rather than have a frantic search at the end of the season. Although, if they sack Roy they could now get an age discrimination case chucked at them.

This is mostly made up bs.

"You've done the minimum of what was expected of you whilst playing incredible boring football, lining your own pockets whilst emptying our as we watch the slow decline of a club that's lost all reason to be optimistic"? Really?

"Managers have a shelf life before they run out of ideas and grind to a hault". Seriously....

I can't be bothered to address it all, but did you see, I mean actually see, a list of prefered managers?

I'd bring benteke on. Although he doesn't score much, two things he can do are hold the ball up, and win headers. We were crying out for that saturday.

Is that the same Benteke who you want out of the club?

Desperate stuff here. Benteke good at holding the ball up ? Since when ? For a bloke of his size it’s absolutely pathetic and his complete lack of contribution at times has been as big a problem as his goal scoring.

Sorry, I totally disagree about Benteke here (but that is what this board is for). He might be crap at finishing but he does hold the ball well and makes a nuisance of himself. He also draws centre halfs to him which Ayew does not.

on the Flip side of this, how often have we gone into the final throws of The season saying 'our goal difference is worth another point' ? If it Wasn't for this attitude in games, we wouldn't have this.

Why should we, that’s the clubs job, however If you want suggestions I would take Bielsa or Santo in a heartbeat.

You have to remember Roy will be gone soon whatever. Sack is a very dramatic word to use, he needs to be replaced and the decision is an important one. Watford’s owners don’t understand football so comparing us with them is a poor choice. Some of their managers were decent to be fair (excluding Pearson of course who is just a thug).

Gary Monk had Wayne Routledge playing a beautiful game didn't he at Swansea, I'd like him the most.

Just close your eyes and put your hands over your ears and pretend our results are fine.

Is that how you come up with these daft ideas? Where did we finish the seasons that Hodgson has been manager? The style may be somewhat dull, but the results are fine.

I can tell you don't have anything objective to add by all the petty snipes.

We've finished 11th, 12th, and 14th.
In the 4 seasons before that we finished 10th, 11th, 14th and 15th. With the caveat that when we finished 15th we reached a cup final.

Hodgson's performance is slightly worse than the 4 previous season. The level of entertainment is dour. He's got the most expensive squad we've ever had assembled.

Average at best and declining.

So, we need top half finishes or the manager goes?
