I would like to see us with 16th highest wages in league and a squad equating to 15th in the league and I want to see us finish above 12th each season, or at least getting to 40 points in record time each year. That to me is progress.
I want to see a youngster introduced each season, pushing for a start.

I want to see one player sold on every two years making a profit.

We should not be held hostage by the league.. I want us if anything to be utilizing it and exploiting it.

I want us to be known as an exciting prem club where players come to us as a stepping stone.

If palace is a gate way club, so be it. I don't want us to be the opposite, a journeyman club where we can't shift expensive players that no one will want.

Each new season should be exciting, see what we have to offer and a few scalps and a fun cup run.

Champ players should be jumping at the opportunity to play for us.

That's the feel I want for the club.

Yes. I think I would be happy with that. Forget players this year, I think we should go and buy Brentford’s recruitment team. Ultimately, they would get us where we want to be.

I know Bournemouth got relegated eventually- but what he achieved there was fairytale stuff. Not by buying his way to year on year promotions , but having a proactive mentality to each game and let’s face it playing some really good stuff in the process.
Don’t forget he also laid the foundation for Dyche’s early success at Burnley too - and should the worst happen he’d be the ideal person to get us back up.
In addition he has an eye for quality young players and improving them. He has proven himself as a really good manager imo.

I’d introduce him to the set up now and start the succession process at the end of the season - hopefully we’ll stay up and he can take us into a new era in the Prem!

Well maybe it might make sense for SP to keep Roy at the club in another capacity, in order to benefit from his breadth of knowledge of the game (home and abroad). Roy’s contract is coming to an end and as a thoroughly decent chap he may understand SP may want to make longer term plans - which go beyond Roy’s own plans. A move to a different role may appeal to him?
He is a football man and is known to give a lot of time to supporting the younger managers- it comes naturally to him.
