Eze is already looking to me like the joy has been sucked out of him. He has started off smiling now he has the pressure of trying to produce some magic in 15 minutes on the pitch to try impress. I just can’t see where Roy is going to fit him into the team. This could end in tears.

He really should've been taken off and it must cause huge problems amongst the others privately when he isn't, our football deteriorated badly after Zaha's stupid behaviour, he must waste so much energy doing this and this is the main reason no one has come in for him.

That's what happens when a team's dynamic is focused around one particular player, instead of playing a team game. Let's face it, our counter attacking gameplan is entirely built around the ability of Zaha, and most out balls are aimed his way. Rather predictable and the opposition have sussed it out. Reminds my of years ago when Spurs had David Ginola, and the rest of the team would give him the ball hoping for a bit of magic.
Regarding Eze, he should be in the team to offer that extra bit of ability, he clearly has it, unfortunately I fear that he will end up shackled into Hodgson's dull system and not produce what he is capable of.

That's quite a statement. Were you in the dugout with Roy ?

I do wonder if Eze was brought in as Zaha was expected to leave. I just can’t see how we can fit both players in the team at the same time. They both give the ball away often as their trickery beats opponents but puts us under pressure when losing the ball. We can’t have two players in the side at the same time doing this unless you have 9 other quality players alongside them for which only the top 6 sides do. Bringing one one when 2.0 down might change things but I would preferred Benteke and Eze coming on last night with Eze for Zaha and Benteke for somebody else?

When did Wilf last have a good game against a better side? Loses possession too easily against the big teams. Rolling his eyes at the ref and losing his composure does not endear him to anyone. This is the reason why he will never get the move to a bigger team that only he thinks he deserves. Cannot cut it on the big stage unfortunately.
