Simple answer to all the problems during Covid. Make all games outside the normal tv schedule ppv at £10 per match and 50% of that goes straight to the EFL to help those teams survive.

Control the revenue coming in and distribute it as they wish. American sport is dominated by big city sporting clubs. With big city clubs in the top flight with a larger support base they can increase the revenue raised on PPV which is now about to be established. This PPV dominates boxing and will creep into our game. This is why they want to do a deal where they can take more control. EFL teams should be on PPV so there fans can see their heroes, but no-one in the Prem is campaigning for this as there's no real money in it. The money being offered is a short term fix. This would be the first step towards a European super league with two divisions or regions, just like the NFL. Its coming..... Surely it's about the Americans forming a cartel in PL which they want to control!

Assume you mean all EFL games as well as all Premiership games? I'm pretty sure a lot of supporters would pay to watch their own club - but loads more would try to do it on streams and still complain about the situation their clubs are in. I can't see why they can't let a few people in. Corporate facilities where there are lots of space, season ticket holders that live in the same post code as stadiums that can walk to the ground. Could they beam-back away games to bars in the stadium for a fee? or what's to stop The Glasiers and the Players Lounge opening up as restraunts on Match days? Other clubs could do the same. It might not be a game changer, but there's a lot more clubs could potentially do to get some revenues back in.

Catering wise, it would probably cost as much to open up and staff as they would get back in revenue.

They are all in a bubble anyway. Could be a good chance to get some fresh blood it and kids are getting priced out of games.

You could be correct, as that is how the game is played in the US, the fact that Liverpool owners have also said they want to purchase a top European club as well could lead to speculation that they want to create a European Super League, over which they may have total control!

it's rants like that which remind me of the magic of Holloway. It's a shame his managerial skills are just short of top level as he'd likely have more influence right across football if we was managing in the Prem. Dyche is the only manager that regularly calls out cheating divers - add Holloway into the mix and you might have a few more coming out of the woodwork, which could be a force to influence the rule-makers.
