Top 6 status is determined on the finishing position from the last 3 years I think....so Man Utd could be shooting themselves in the foot the way they're going!

TV rights has ruined the game. This is entirely about that.

Stay silent & accept the money.

Do we really want ManPool.Top6.Com running the national game? I dont think so.

No of course not and that is my point. The FA are the custodians of the game and they are allowing a small group of clubs be it the top 6 or the top 20 PL clubs to run the game.

The government has threatened to step in previously if the FA did not sort out its house maybe it's time for that to happen. A regulator for all of football any club that doesn't like that can leave.

There are some good aspects to this proposal, mainly the extra money that the lower division clubs would receive. The sticking point though is the proposed voting structure of the premier league, which is a naked grab for power by the richest clubs, who want yet more money.

How transparent this is can be shown by the way the new voting rights are to be allocated based on longevity in the Premier League. Clubs are to have 'special voting rights - the 'big 6' plus West ham, Southampton and Everton which seems quite arbitrary In that case Palace are the 10th longest surviving club in the league, but other clubs have many more seasons in the league such as Villa and Newcastle, who have played more seasons than Man City. Also former champions Leicester are not one of the 'special ones' despite winning as many titles as Liverpool and more than Spurs.

No, this is anti-competitive and will turn a lot of fans off the game. The next step will be no promotion or relegation (the proposers are two American owned clubs) I'm glad to see West Ham have come out against
these proposals and hopefully the other clubs will too.

....and this will be followed up with the game being played in 4 quarters, so as to allow for more advertising money and catering sales, just like baseball & American football.

Yes. We had a small taster of that with the drinks breaks which quickly turned into short team talks.

How's about we kick the top 6 out, allow them to set up their own European Super League. No more Champions league as they all be there anyway, and once the novelty wears off and their fans can no longer afford to pay for travel to all those overseas away matches we give them the finger when they want to return but allow them to start in the eighth tier like all other clubs joining.

I don’t know if it has already been mentioned so apologies if this has already been covered but...

Offering 250m as a rescue package is roughly what the two teams missing from the first season of 18 clubs would have been due as their TV rights money. I assume that without those two teams the Prem has their share of TV money to spend as they see fit.

So Liverpool and Man U have managed to make it so that the burden of helping out the entire EFL falls on two relegated teams and none of the burden sits with the remaining Prem teams.

I’m so pleased to read so many fan responses and articles that show a unity against this deal and the changes mentioned.

A lot of football clubs would be a million times better off if the gates to the promised land were permanently slammed shut.

The B teams must not be allowed enter. Grimsby v Lincoln has history, would bring a big crowd. I can't see small teams waiting all week to see the Crystal Palace reserves.

I may of missed it somewhere but surely Liverpool and Manchester U, owned by Americans, longer term will gain more than anyone. Its all about money. Control the revenue coming in and distribute it as they wish. American sport is dominated by big city sporting clubs. I can see this leading to the likes of Sunderland being encouraged as much as possible to get into the prem as that will increase revenue. With big city clubs in the top flight with a larger support base they can increase the revenue raised on PPV which is now about to be established. This PPV dominates boxing and will creep into our game. This is why they want to do a deal where they can take more control. EFL teams should be on PPV so there fans can see their heroes, but no-one in the Prem is campaigning for this as there's no real money in it. The money being offered is a short term fix. This would be the first step towards a European super league with two divisions or regions, just like the NFL. Its coming.....
