Exactly this!

We have already got these channels on the assumption some games would be shown live

I reluctantly paid because i couldnt bear the thought of Palace playing when the game was available to me.
I didn't tell the Mrs though because she's already got the hump with my subscriptions to Sky BT and Prime. Im a coward lol.

I wouldn't worry she never tells you how much she really pays for her fashion.

BT/SKY were asked for the viewing figures for their PPV games yesterday, they refused to comment, ha ha, well done to all who refused to take it, and even more well done to those who paid their £15 to eagle heights, in memory of Kayla our beloved eagle RIP💙🦅❤️🦅💙

A rather interesting development...

[Link]

Apparently Sky were never interested in showing PPV in the first place...

It looks like the boycott and Charity not PPV campaign is gathering momentum.

Well done to all those involved! :thumbs up:

I have paid for 'Box Office' a few times in order to witness boxing events.

I would have happily parted with £15 to watch the Fulham encounter had our performance not been so dour against Brighton.I was somewhat 'Scarred' by that turgid display and my dear wife bore the brunt of my anger and disappointment.

I find the price structuring an insult. £15 per game in the circumstances we find ourselves in is just appalling. It’s just profiteering rather than offering a service to supporters. I didn’t pay it out of principle and I won’t pay for any of them in the future.
I found a perfectly good HD stream out in Tenerife to watch it on. It even had English commentary. It was a Half decent watch too!

Glad to see that Sky and BT have been shamed into dropping PPV. It's a rip-off.

Now we need to start boycotting their standard channels, as they're overcharging for those too compared to what people pay overseas.

Alright it might mean less cash for the clubs, but the upside to that would have been that we were unable to sign either Benteke of Sakho.

There are a hefty amount of people on here vehemently against the PPV options available. I don't want to sound like an arrogant c-unit, but can I ask what it is about the whole PPV thing that is angering people so much?

Is it the cost?
Is it the not knowing where/who this money will be going to?
Is it something else?

From my perspective, £14.95 for a game that would not normally have been available unless you had a season ticket or bought a one off match ticket, isn't that bad a price when you consider the average cost per season ticket is probably £20+ per game excl. travel, food, pre, during and post drinks etc. and a one off game, if it's not a cat 1 game that requires a cat 2 ticket purchased as well, is probably £45+ per ticket.

I would love for people to give me their genuine reasoning without taking offence and getting offensive, as I would love to understand the reasons as opposed to coming across as dismissive, inflammatory or controversial, which unfortunately these days you seem to have to caveat on social media when you have any kind of genuine question about an opposing view point!
