Hope we do the same on Monday. WBA didn't look like relegation candidates - Chelsea were down to 10 men, but well beaten. I should say that's the best Albion have played all season.

The red card certainly helped but they are improving as are Fulham, which is more than can be said of the teams above them.

To stay up, I generally feel you need to catch up a point a game so yesterday was the last chance saloon for them. They've emerged with the opportunity to fight another day.

7 points from safety with 8 games to go is certainly achievable. Given they need to catch up with 2 sides to be safe they need to be targeting Brighton as well, catching 11 points in 9 games looks less likely.

As for Palace, 37 points should almost definitely be enough for safety. The issue to watch out for it we have a strange run in where 2 of our nex 9 games are against bottom half teams. To make things worse they are both away from home.

I think we've picked up about 8 points from the top half this season. It's unlikely that many more points will be coming our way.

Mourinho extremely unhappy with not seeing a win out against Toon, lot of mistakes there.

Fulham, now 3 points adrift, out of the blocks and Grealish not playing.

Defensively far from impressive.
Some disappointing performances across the pitch.

However bad we were against Chelsea and we were very poor, thankfully we are not performing as badly as Fulham,West Brom and Sheffield have consistently all season long and the three of them keep their places deservedly in the bottom three with little hope of any improvement to their fate, relegation.

Two wins in a row have surely secured Newcastle's safety,so it's adios Fulham, the nearly men.

IF, Sheff Utd lose away to Wolves later today, they are relegated. As it stands, mathmaticly, Fulham can reach 44pts & WBA can reach 45.

Not over just yet

Mathematically we can attain 59 pts.
We are not going to achieve this nor will Fulham and WBA gain maximum points from all their remaining games.
Their total at the end of the season might be between 30 and 33 pts.

agree, think bottom 3 are done & dusted now.
However, what a shame that last game, fulham v toon was not of great significance!

Relegation for Sheffield finally confirmed and Fulham's mercenaries will no doubt be put to the sword against the mighty Arse, leaving WBA to be beaten against Villa next week.
All in all,a good outcome, particularly as even Willo now accepts that we will stay up!!

Fulham 1.0 up at Arsenal - those just above them (Burnley) should be a little worried. Hopefully our 38 points is good enough?
