Personally I would have started Bats ahead of Ayew - but there again I’m not an Ayew fan IMO average at best at this level..!! But Roy seems to like him because he runs about a lot..!, My prediction Ayew will be off after 70 mins after a lot of huff and puff and little/nothing else - hope he proves me wrong...! COYP

Ayew scored the goals that kept us safe last season, I'm surprised by the grief he gets. At least he manages to stay onside most of the time and works hard for the team. Good to have him back.

I'd guess Roy started Eze for a little more attack Ayew for a little more defence. Ayew does work hard, and I think well, when the opponents have possession.
