No need! "We" at the evening news always looked down on the standard, which didn"t come out on a weekend . The other fond memory of the "news", was it was the only papers "crossword" i managed to finish on a regular basis- I say "crossword", in brackets, it was actually the picture puzzle, dog, cat, you get the drift!

For those of us of a certain age we will always have fond memories of the past and I am no different.
I hate the diving, the cheating, VAR and the general dishonesty in the game at all levels especially within the clubs themselves.
Football has no real moral compass anymore which is a shame.
On the plus side watching skilful players is great particularly when they are being played on pitches which the likes of George Best (I saw him play live at Selhurst Park) would have thrived on.
Facilities generally are better of course as well.
In general though the negatives nowadays outweigh the positives for me and whilst I have put a deposit down on my Season Ticket for the 2021-2022 season I am not sure that I will take it up because it is just not as much fun anymore and that is the whole experience from leaving home to getting home again.
Finally though - one thing that really struck me from last weekend - the minutes silence before the game where the players stood, heads bowed to remember those that died to them give them the freedom to kneel to support a career drug addict criminal in America.
I know the kneel is about more than that but BLM is still a bad organization deep down albeit we all know that racism has to be kicked out of life.
Totally absurd and that may well be the one thing that stops me going back as a season ticket holder.
