Mmmm, interesting....imagine that, an actual amusing Hungarian.

I've definitely learnt stuff on this thread.

Maybe, but did you know he gave up his Hollywood career to raise his kids when his wife died.

That makes him one of the good guys in my book.

And makes her a hero to movie goers everywhere. she made the ultimate sacrifice so we may be spared more s*** movies with him in.

Like what?
I think most people of taste would consider Honey I Shrunk the Kids to be dreadful, but beyond that, I wouldn't say that his other films have been particularly high on the scale of terrible. Maybe you just don't like his nerdy screen persona but I think he deserves praise for being a stand up guy in real life.

Incidentally, the worst film I ever saw at the cinema was 'Inner Space'. I actually walked out halfway through.

Honey I shrunk/blew up anything.
little shop of horrors
Spaceballs.
Flintstones.
Need I go on?
Maybe it is just him, but I can't really stand any of the above films.

As for inner space....

I have never liked Little Shop personally but Spaceballs was quite funny in a Mel Brooks way and The Flintstones was not as bad as some.

Now if we were talking about Adam Sandler...

Please don't get me started, can't stand the sight of him.

Had a mate live with me some years back who thought Happy Gilmore was the height of sophisticated comedy!

Agree entirely with this. The funniest thing Adam Sandler ever did was win the Razzie for worst actor and worst actress in the same year for his portrayal(s) in Jack and Jill. He also was the only winner for worst screen couple for Jack and Jill. Now that's funny

Adam Sandler just stole Jerry Lewis' act and even remade a couple of his movies. As I never liked the whiny Lewis there was no way I could watch Sandler.

There is little more atrocious in comedy than Jerry Lewis. Utterly moronic garbage. I also loathe Danny Kaye, Michael Crawford and 99% of allegedly funny stand ups.

There will be those who love these people of course.

I've got some Canadian relatives and Moranis is a comedy hero there for The Mckenzie Brothers with Dave Thomas. Basically two beer-swilling 'hosers' who love hockey, bacon and...beer. They made a film in the 80's called Strange Brew which is actually based on Hamlet! It's quite funny but very Canadian - eh?

Sounds like he could do worse than move there.

Some people just deserve a punch in the face.
I recall Fergal Sharkey going into a pub near Woking (1980's) , and some guy recognises him.

Guy : "Excuse me mate, are you Fergal Sharkey ?"

FS: "Well, yes I am"

Fergal gets a smack in the face.

You took the wonga, now pay the price.

It also reminds me of Liam Gallagher getting his teeth kicked out by "An Italian Businessman" in an airport lounge.

It doesn't sit easy with me, but some people do just deserve a smack.
