Anyway: Good story about him "talking Newcastle into" offering Dave Beasant a goal bonus when signing for them, unaware that his client Beasant was a goalkeeper. I've got an ex-footballer mate who had lunch with Hall who was pitching to be his agent at the time. "Sign with me and I'll get you to play for England John". "But I already play for Ireland Eric" "So what. I'll get you to play for England as well." "OK Eric" Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

I've got an ex-footballer mate who had lunch with Hall who was pitching to be his agent at the time.

"Sign with me and I'll get you to play for England John".

"But I already play for Ireland Eric"

"So what. I'll get you to play for England as well."

"OK Eric"

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.
