Wants out of the rich ruskys, the sort of player we could use for another year at least and might like the bright lights of South London.

He wants game time. Would Hodgson give it to him early enough? Also with Bats on loan from Chelsea would they sell him to us if it meant Bats dropping to the bench and our deciding NOT to buy him in the summer?

I'd take him if he would come and put him straight up front ahead of Bats, Ayew & Benteke.

He probably wont come.

I guess he is looking for regular football to boost he chances of playing in the Euros well he can't come to us on loan as we already have Bats. He has also spoken of an interest in going to Italy.

So I don't think it will happen unless Chelsea agree to sell him to us on the cheap.

Stay.Away.From.Giroud.

That's all I will say on the matter. Will never play for a mid-table team the way he does for Palace.

Would be the biggest mistake in transfer history. Old. No resale value. Huge salaries. Little defending

Nothing to gain.

Batshuayi will come good in the end. At least much better than Giroud ever might play for a mid-table team. He is not a clunter attacking player, can't play in teams below the Top 4. We hardly dominate some other PL team (maybe Fulham)

I’d have him definitely, on loan would be great. Get someone to stick one on batshui in training and send him back to Chelsea.

Does he track back enough for us? That's the only role our 'strikers' play.

We should have tried for him instead of Bats, on loan. Great finisher but, of course, to be effective we would need to get the ball in the box.

We've tried quite a few forwards;

Benteke, Bats, Sorloth, Ayew, Zaha, Pierrick, Wickham, (have I missed anyone?)
The only ones who seem to score in this setup with any kinds of regularity are those who create something for themselves.
Not sure Giroud, however good he is in the box, is gonna change that.

No one can score in the box if the ball is never there.
