Why the need for the abuse?

Calling me simple and telling me to go and support Man U?

You have your views I have mine.

Otherwise than that suggest you wind your neck in.!!

At the moment most of us are confined to window shopping. My thinking keeps going back to the broadcasters' windows, with lots of excitement of teams not getting the results their form or squad strength would suggest. Many posters do join the panic when Palace are in the bottom six, and worry when potential wins become draws and potential draws become losses.

There is also the CPFC shop window. Roy, at 73, cannot go on forever. The advances of the Academy and the opportunity to select his (or her) team suggest that people of quality will be looking to manage CPFC.

I leave my readers to watch events as they unfold to the end of 2021.

Tbh I seen the two losses comming a mile off! It happens! We could win out next 3 games and Roy is a genius again! It happens during a season! Loose when you arnt expected too and then win when you are not expected to either!

If I wanted fancy football I'd be following city or liverpool! I never went to palace games in all my years for the exciting football!

Quite right and do the fans that dislike our manager really seriously find our great opportunities to score that incredibly boring that they have to come on here and tell the world, goals to them are just what makes a game interesting and exciting and if we don't score that's it the manager has got to go immediately. Most of football played by every single club is not exciting, frustration = boring to the fans that want our manager out.
The fact that he is going to be out sooner rather then later anyway seems to by pass them all.

This is just funny... So the master plan all along has been to spend 8 or 9 seasons in the Prem, build an aged squad, play the most dullest form of 'football' ever, get relegated, spend a year or two in the Championship then come back up and become a Premiership force??

If we were to get relegated the fact you think it's as simple as 'spending a year or two' in the Championship shows how deluded your post is... The Championship is one of the hardest leagues in the world to get out of... In fact how many times do we see sides relegated from the Premiership suffer instant relegation the following season into League one.

The last time we were relegated from the Premier League it took us 12 seasons to get back up.

We are currently no where near that situation with points and potential. the one and only real situation I find actually annoying is the ongoing problems with rebuilding our stadium.

It's obviously not the plan to return to the Championship, but it may happen, and we will be in much better shape than in the past.

Holding the ship steady whilst we move to a new phase of our development might be boring for some but I can just imagine the moans if we had been relegated 3 or more years ago and still be struggling in the Championship, with the parachute payments drying up and administration on the horizon again.

If you know of a magic money tree that Steve can harvest perhaps you would let him know.

I'd shake your hand if I could.

You were the one whose view is that the answer is simple, when it's far from that.

So my view is that your view is a simplistic one.

You come over as a glory hunter, who expects every year to be one of endless progress, when football isn't like that or we would have won the Champions League years ago. We aren't, yet, one of the big six so if that's what floats your boat that's the lake you need to be sailing on. We may get there. We have seen off Charlton and Millwall and now have a genuine opportunity to become the real powerhouse from south of the Thames. Probably not in my lifetime but the changes I have witnessed give me hope that it might happen for the coming generations.

You see I think in decades, whilst you seem to think in single years.

There you go with the abuse again now I’m a “Glory Hunter” - what is it with you..?

For your information I’ve supported Palace since the mid 70’s - I was one of the 50,000+ at Selhurst on 10th May 1979 when we beat Burnley 2-0 to win the old second Division and gain promotion to the First Division and knocking Brighton off top spot in the process.

So I’ve seen and supported Palace through the “Decades” the associated ups and the downs, through the thick and the thin..

Think I’ve earned the right to my opinion - on that as I said you have your opinion and I have mine.

The fact my opinion differs from yours doesn’t give you the right to abuse me - a little more respect please..!!

Probably 90 % of his posts are abusive! Gave up trying to have any sort of meaningful debate with him! He is of course on a much higher intellectual level than most on here (in his own mind)

You are seeing abuse where none exists. Of course you are entitled to your opinion, just as I am to mine that simple solutions don't exist and that those who expect instant answers are glory hunters. If that's the way you come over to me then, that's the way you come over to me.

If I anyone encounters a meaningful debate which involves you on here I would be grateful if they would let me know.

You have posted some complete garbage in the past, which despite me patiently explaining why you are factually incorrect, you continued to argue over. Opinions are one thing. Everyone can respect a different opinion. Challenging established facts and trying to substitute lies is quite another.

Even today in the "politics" section you posted your intention to ignore the government's rules over Christmas and have a big family party, whilst proclaiming that the Tier restrictions are rubbish.

If that isn't abusing the rest of us who are trying our best to accept the restraints in order to protect us all, and make sure the NHS functions, then I don't what is.

I have long thought you to be a very strange guy and these latest posts have done nothing to change my mind.
