Heard a strong rumour from a reliable source that the players want Roy gone as well. Lost the dressing room apparently apart from his favourites.

Should get Eddie Howe in before End of season to take advantage of the shorter summer transfer window.

Come on Steve before it’s too late. You know it makes sense. If we lose to Albion after Burnley and Newcastle, he really needs to go.

Eddie Howe? Why? I’d love to hear your reasons.

Having read a few player autobiographies it is evident that whether you’re behind the manager or not as a player depends on whether he selects you.
It brings to mind when Ferguson changed his mind about retiring at Man Utd.
He had previously fallen out with Dwight Yorke and Yorke was hoping for a new start under a new manager.
When it was announced that Ferguson was in fact staying Roy Keane apparently turned to Yorke in the changing room and said,
‘That’s you f....ed Yorkie.’

I can imagine that the likes of Meyer, Sakho and Benteke may not be too happy with Roy at the moment, but players like Mcarthur, Ayew and Schlupp will be very happy with him.

Is your reliable source a spotty zit-faced teenager who makes up libellous BS? The day Eddie Howe even breathes on the manager’s job is the day I get red carded and thrown off here.

Eddie Howe would answer questions on relegation on Mastermind, not fit to lace Roy's boots.

Who do we want in then? I'm a bit behind...is Ranieri available? Benetiz? Emery? Surely we should be looking at names like these?

I'd take Benitiz, the other two are bluffers. We seem to always go English, I wondered if we might go foreign this time. I'm not a big expert on foreign managers at all. There's always Lombardo, or Popovic if we want a connection. I suspect they wouldn't have quite the experience. There are managers like Dyche who might come here. I personally do not believe Howe is tactically astute enough, from what I saw of Bournemouth. I'm not massively enamoured by Dyche but could see him being OK.

Think it's time to be brave though. I'm in the minority here, but I would've even given FDB more time. Things were just showing signs of clicking when he got fired.

Dyche...not interested. Look at Burnley now. We might as well keep Hodgson.

Popovic isn't a bad shout. But you're right, lack of PL experience might count against him.

Michael Carrick?

'Be careful what you wish for' is a beguiling mantra. It's tantamount to saying that any change is likely to be for the worse. Why the pessimism? Given the manager's age, the only question is when he goes. He's not going to become a better manager, is he? Both Dyche and Howe should improve as managers. Why should they not?
It would be difficult to argue that Palace is going in the right direction since last season was resumed some eighteen games ago. It's impossible to quantify the case that Palace's relatively secure position with eight games left meant that the players were 'on the beach'.Those results do come into the reckoning about the health of the club.
It's simplistic to argue that it's all the manager's fault. But it's entirely reasonable to ask whether he is picking the right players and employing the correct tactics. I just cannot understand why at this stage of the season we are so unambitious. What's to lose if we set up in a more attacking format, especially against the likes of Burnley and Newcastle? If there were eight games left and we had thirty points it might be different. That's when you need the likes of McArthur. The performance against Brighton wouldn't have looked out of place in National League South.
Believe we can do better.

People saying "be careful what you wish for" seem be blind to the fact that that statement also applies to them.

The players might have been "on holiday already" in the last 8 games, but it took 6 games to change the formation from 3 holding midfielders, and if it hadn't been for a injury to PVA then I doubt Mitchell would have had a chance. He made no attempt to change things up for the players that weren't pulling their weight.

The stats aren't with Roy over the last 7 months, and people who support him haven't put forward any arguments to justify his team selections or substitutions. They acknowledge he may have made a few errors, but he seems to be getting very little correct.

It's not libellous. Come on now.
Why insult everyone who disagrees with you?
