Just watching it and seem to think purists never believed it to be well, cricket.
I had doubts but all around the world is proving to have kept the game alive.
Not that a test match or one day game isnt a great day out but this 20/20 is the one people watch.
It's a shame no crowds are allowed as in SA atm these would be a sell out.
My view anyhow.

It can be a miserable experience for the bowlers: fielding restrictions, reduced boundaries, free hits, improvements in bat technology, etc. Michael Holding suggested four bowlers getting five overs each to try to make it more competitive.

Cricket has been the success story of 2020.

Highly entertaining, hugely successful for England, complete confidence in the DRS system.

What is there not to like.

A series win here against South Africa, you don't discount England even though they have to score 10 an over to get home.

20/20 tough on bowlers it's true.

I prefer a full five day test. Preferably the Ashes, in the sun, five full days of drinking. What could possibly go wrong?

It isn't.

That doesn't mean that it isn't good fun to watch but it's not really cricket as there are so many restrictions on the bowlers and fielders that it's just a slugfest for the batsmen and you only have to see which of the top 20/20 batsmen failed abysmally in the proper game including our very own Jason Roy and Eoin Morgan.

Incidentally the England 20/20 side features three South Africans, two Barbadians, a Kiwi and an Irishman

Awesome England batting.

What gets me, they don't even seem to get out of gear.

I can remember Boycott taking a day to score 36 against Australia - and we thought it was good !!

A breathe of fresh air in such a bad year.

I was in Durban in February on a golf trip. Managed to get tickets for the final T20 and so glad I did.
Very exciting, had a good laugh with the oppo’s fans and tickets were less than £10.
Fantastic evening out.

Agree brother. Great spectacle. Love test matches but for pure excitement I can’t think of many sports that beat 20 20

England batted really well tonight for their third win
