They did as well as they could which just wasn’t as well as the team you described as a load of dead blokes.

The image was related to the topic, given the England team's stance on taking the knee and racial equality, the importance of the black players in the team and how well the team were doing. In addition to that, as I've said on this thread before, being pro-black doesn't mean anti-white. You only seem to think so because historically, being pro-white has only been used to racially antagonise. I was watching the game with a group of friends, black and white, and there were women in that group who left to go home, before the penalty shootout, to avoid confrontation from drunk, white English fans. Lo and behold, when 3 black players, 2 of which shoudln't have been given that responsibility to take penalties (but that is a different, Southgate issue), miss a penalty, they no longer are seen as English, they are dehumanised as "blacks" and given a torrent of racial abuse.
