And predictably, it has had the exact opposite effect.
Most people believe it has made the problem worse.

It's almost like someone wants to divide us or something.

I think you may be on to something there, Hrolf.
But by booing, are we not just doing exactly what they're trying to program us to do?
Personally, I would consider some of the players' feelings before I chose to boo at precisely the moment they take the knee.
Football endorsing politics was always a bad idea.
Call me old fashioned, but I won't be going back to Selhurst until there's a full house including away fans.
And hopefully this nonsense will have stopped by then along with the binning of VAR.

You can not be in agreement with it completely and what it stands for. But to actively boo it is to say you believe the opposite in what it is for.

But why is that wrong? I am actively in opposition to BLM. They are the antithesis of every thing I believe in. Now I support their right to exist, and to express their views but I also support the right to display opposition to that.

They booed. They did not throw missiles.

Would you like to see booing made illegal? Have any fan who boos thrown out? Banned?

We fundamentally disagree in why they are taking a knee so we are never going to agree in this.

It's your claim that's the nonsense. Few people are even aware that there is a political movement which uses "Black Lives Matter" as it's title and exploits the empathy that has developed over the events earlier this year.

It's the sentiment that black lives matter, and not that movement, that is involved and the players are uniting in a joint show to show they all care.

Whether it makes things better or has run its course, are other considerations, but the motivations of those involved ought not be questioned and those who boo them deserve all the condemnation they are getting.

Footballers all care? 220 of them every week? OK.
Oh, except substitutes who apparently don’t.

Again, ask the players why they are doing it. It is not for the organisation.

LOL. Troy Deeny even trade marked it. Black Lives Matter. BLM. Not blm. Perhaps you should have a word with him and tell him why he does not understand what it means? Perhaps you could explain it to him?

The players taking a knee is about anti-racism. If you boo it you are a racist. It really is that simple.

You do talk some b****cks. What was wrong with “ kick it out”? Not supporting BLM makes you a racist ffs. I think you need to grow up

They are taking the knee because they support Black Lives Matter. That is the entire point of it. This is not some general anti-racism gesture, this is a full on political statement.

But perhaps you know better? LOL. How very colonial of you.

Yes, but the whole point is that the players should be more in tune with the fans and not an external organisation with a political agenda. I accept that at the start it may have been unclear as to what was going on but they are not stupid and they should have distanced themselves from that awful organisation.

But most will not do it because they know it’s wrong. Not because the Palace PR team have had a quiet word and said ‘you know what mate, this might not be a good look for the brand’.

You can not be in agreement with it completely and what it stands for. But to actively boo it is to say you believe the opposite in what it is for.

I think you would like to believe it’s most but I wouldn’t be so sure. Also, it’s far less the brand people will worry about than the individual consequences of not towing the line could have on them. It is ubiquitous for extreme ideologies to have monikers to place on and condemn those who dare break rank.

Secondly, I would again say it shows naivety at best to think that the booing in this context is solely to oppose what you are defining as anti-racism and promote racism. In fact it would go well beyond naivety, worryingly so.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!
