"The fans who have been let in today have personally disrespected not just me but the football club. And what the football club and the community stand for. What they've done is booed and condemned a peaceful gesture which was put in place to highlight, combat and stop any discriminatory behaviour and racism. That's it - that's all that gesture is.

"And the fans have chosen to boo that, which for the life of me I can't understand. It has offended me and everyone who works for this club - the players and the staff.

"I'm speaking on behalf of myself here - not any of the other players - I want to make that very clear. This is the first time I feel disrespected. Because you have booed and condemned a peaceful gesture which - and it needs repeating - was put in place to highlight, combat and tackle any discriminatory behaviour and racism in general."

If HIS players (i thought you said he was a player not the Manager) feel more can be done to tackle discrimination (has anyone in English football ever been accused of picking a player for the first team solely because they are white?) and racism, perhaps they could come up with a more practical and useful idea than what has now become little more than an annoying and empty gesture with overtones of supporting a rather unsavoury organisation.

Colin Kazim -Richards didn’t kneel. He said he stands proud. So presumably everyone else can stand proud next to him and abandon the kneeling.

I don’t think there’s any wrong or right answer to be honest as to what the players should do. I just think there’s been far too many incidents in recent times, and far too many incidents at football matches in this country, to show that racism is unfortunately very much not a thing of the past, and I support the players wanting to use their platform to make a public stand about it.

How tedious you are.

You and Dan lack the capacity to understand why this type of so called anti racism is totally flawed and promoted by people who could not care less about the lives of the ordinary people of any colour.
