Although it breaks my heart to broach this subject, there will be a day when our best player is no longer with us.

Today zaha was amazing. Last week we were rubbish without him.

And so, a discussion for Roy and all the management team.

What will a successful Palace be looking like if Zaha gets poached by the big money clubs ? or even if zaha keeps the eagle shirt but picks up a nasty injury ? Life after zaha.

can we be good enough for the Premier League ?

Any suggestions ?

A mediocre championship team?

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Last season people were saying we would be lucky to get £30 million for him, even our own fans wanted him gone.

This season especially, after the way he has started, we are looking at £70-80 million, what he does for us, for a top side he'd be like Sterling.

The good thing we could possibly sign 3 player's, to make up for 1, so when he's not playing we don't win, instead we have 3 players to make up for him.

It will probably be like the cinario when we sold Ian Wright to Arsenal and brought Gabbadini as a replacement and it never worked, and took years to recover from .So we need to be very careful and do our homework thoroughly on this one if and when it happens.

The problem is, we would need all 3 of them playing and we are not allowed 13 players on the pitch.

We’ve lost big players we thought we couldn’t live without in the past and we’re still here, Jonny Byrne, Ian Wright, Andy Johnson, Calvin Andrew.
Okay only joking about big Calvin ,but you get my drift.

You've got to remember he's 28 now - so anyone who comes looking and wants to buy has got to accept he will be a significant upfront cost/investment with limited resale value.

I thought today a couple of times - go on Wilf, but the pace just wasn't there - once his pace begins to go he won't be the same player..!!

In the current climate, just can't see it..!!

In our first season back we stayed up comfortably without Wilf.

Perhaps the COVID slowed him a bit? Luka similarly.

Don't forget that we still have our other goal machine Benteke played really well today ... even before the goals.
