It all comes down to confidence. Premier league seems to be the most wide open race so I don't know if Zaha will leave as any team could go on a run

Somebody needs to pull the rug out from Jose's feet. If Arsenal can't do it maybe we can

There's no evidence that we're capable of winning games in the Premier League without Zaha. Most likely, we'd be a mid-table Championship side with our current squad minus Zaha.

You have to score goals in the Championship to get promoted, and we've proven we can't do that without Zaha. Our defense would be adequate enough to keep us 8th-12th in the Championship.

We're built to scrape out 40 points to survival in the Premier League. We aren't built to be at the top of the table in any league.

The point you and lots of other people are missing is that if Wilf left we would adapt to play without him at the moment he is still here so there is no need to adapt.

I agree we need to find a way to play without him when he is injured because it is our players first instinct to look for him but I don’t think we would be relegated without him.

I strongly think Arsenal will bid sensibly for him in Jan. They could really do with him.

Ironic that he'd be moving to a club below us in the table. Yet I think he'd go like a flash.

So, Palace tactics post Zaha will be vital. As we are we can't win without him.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

Hes just amazing right now, he is the complete player. Can only imagine what he could get up to in a top team.

If Bale can’t get into Spurs side, I don’t see Zaha getting a game for a top club. They buy specific players to suit their playing style.

Two points from me.

Firstly, he was unbelievable yesterday and, on his day, is up there with anyone in the league. However, let's not pretend that those days are every weekend. He was poor for large swathes of last season and even now I get the impression that he's playing for a move.

Secondly, let's actually replace him before he leaves rather than afterwards when the selling club knows that he have 70m in the bank and a huge gap in the team that needs filling. It's that situation where we get quoted ridiculous prices. Get a bid in for Sarr or whoever in January and give them the second half of the season to bed in.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

This just reminds me of all the fans who have been happy to offload Wilf for the past three seasons. The same sort of people who thought about the money when we sold Wan Bissaka.
Sell your best players and replace them with average players and you go backwards.
No one of Wilf's quality will come to Palace so we have to keep buying better players than the ones we have until we can compete without him. At this rate we will need to keep him the full length of his contract and let him walk for nothing. I'd give him anything he wants to keep him at the club until he has a grey beard if I was Parish.

It was the ultimate miracle.

Tony Pulis was one of the very few football people in planet earth capable of taking us to survival.

For a glimpse into a Zaha-less future you don't have to go back too far.

Burnley 1 CPFC 0; CPFC 0 Newcastle 2.

By the way, Eze, who the media world its currently breathless in their oohing and aaaahing about started both those miserable performances.

When Zaha leaves we will be relegated within two seasons.

Was he though...? The second goal was a great strike...I can't remember too many other moments where he was breakthtakingly good. Certainly not like he has been in the past where he's danced past players for fun.

arse will be in for him in Jan.
If we get top dollar (70-80 mill) then a couple of very decent signings could compensate.(hopefully) and lead to a general overhaul?
possibly hang on to him till end season.
Either way id say his time with us is now limited.

Playing for them or managing them?

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Thanks Willo, so we can actually find really expressive players with decent money so how much money will we actually receive from the sale of Zaha especially considering his brilliant form so far this season? I'd be amazed if top clubs aren't willing to have a look at him regardless of his age.

I don't want him to go because he is playing for us this season, last season he wasn't and now Eze is causing so much trouble opposition have two to really really worry about.
