I don’t rule out getting a result here. As someone else said they didn’t impress versus Arsenal. For me the problem is Van Aanholt and Milivojevic. Both of those players need to be replaced by someone who isn’t going to constantly lose possession or give away needless fouls. I don’t expect Zaha to leave in January but if he really wants a move this is the type of game he needs to show what he can do.

A part from his late yellow card challenge i thought Milivojevic played well against WBA and gave us a bit of strength and control in front of the back 4. I don't agree much on Clyne v PVA comparison's. I know PVA get's caught out but he really is an attacking threat for us and help's create space with his over lapping run's. Clyne and Ward for most part offer next to no threat going forward. I am hoping Ferguson addresses this going forward.
Getting back to the game it is a clash of styles - i am not sure we will win but i think Spurs will struggle to break us down. If we defend well from set pieces i think it could be a 0-0.

I hope you're right but Spurs have a world class attacking lineup, and defensively Palace have been leaky. Sadly and with regret 0-2

0-4 spuds with a big dose of ‘Roy out’ because of a daft team selection, tactics and lack of substitutes.

Spurs aren't quite as good a side as results would suggest in my opinion, but the league table can't be argued with and they should be too much for us.

They sit everyone back behind the ball, don't care if they have very low possession stats, attack in fits and spurts and rely heavily on one or two outstanding individuals to win games for them, whilst the rest of their players just work hard to keep the shape.

Blimey, why didn't we think of that.....?

And therein lies the conundrum. This is essentially the Spurs team we played at the back end of last season when we drew and where both teams were cagey about committing too many players forward. Likely to be more like a game of chess than free flowing football. It may well be a case of defences being on top provided we start quickly and don't wait until we're 0-2 before getting our act together.

I'm still going to go for a surprise Palace win 2-1.

Barring injury, probably yes.

if this is the team can i ask that our full backs play as defenders and play in position? They both seem to think their wingers, leaving massive gaps behind then. Son and Kane dont need to be asked twice and will punish us if given space.

Wouldn't worry too much...we'll be parked in our own half.

We score a 70th minute goal...

Squeeky bum time for 20+ minutes and the score

1-0.

You heard it here first!
