Why was it Palace issuing the statement? Has he been working with us?

What surprises me is that this dementia is reversible and treatable. Not come across that before.

The best of the very best was Kenny.
Football and drinking.

The best player I have been lucky enough to watch play at Palace.
Having also been fortunate enough to meet him recently I can honestly say that even with all of his troubles he would still have a chat and was a really nice person.
They think his illness could be treatable and I truly hope they can help him going forward.
Get well King Kenny!

If it’s alcohol related, which looks likely, there’s a chance of it being treatable. Problem is if he’s too ill to give it up.

What a player.

Sad news.

Same here!! From my early days standing down the front in the new stand he was quite a sight with his pace powering up and down the line, never forget it.
I’ve always been quite proud to say I was at his England debut v Wales as well. My sports teacher took a mini bus load of us and I was so excited because Kenny was going to be playing.

Good luck King Kenny!!

I wondered that. Did not think dementia was treatable tbh. Looks like it is alcohol related.

Kenny has had a lot of issues with alcahol in recent years, its well documented. A certain (as was) local pub landlord took him in & tried to help him.

I really hope, finally he can be helped properly. As someone has already posted, when you meet him, as i have been lucky enough to do so, he is charming, polite, talks about football like any mate would do.

Best left back Palace & England ever had(imo) apologies to Ray Wilson.
