I have two in mind.
Bug Jam in 1988 at Santa Pod. The Meteors leapt from the stage into the the crowd for fisti-cuffs halfway through their set. Ambulances and police cars drove through the 'crowd' to get to the injured.

The Cure, 1992. The most miserable experience. None of the crowd "wanted to be there". Heads down, staring at the floor like the goths hated every minute.
If you hate it sooo much, (and you took the trouble to wear contrasting make-up) why fcking be there ?

Unfortunately he was like that at every performance as I saw him several times back in the day and he lacked any form of personality at all merely grunting "thank you" between songs

The Police 1978 De Montfort Hall Leicester. The first time I realised Sting was a tool. The other two looked and played like they wanted to be anywhere than up on the stage. Shambolic.

Angelic upstarts , Wardour st, W.London.
Cannot remember name of pub, it was literally a few building to the left of the marquee club.
80% skinhead crowd.
Gary bushell was standing next to us , the upstarts had only just started playing Liddle towers and a big skin walked over and broke Bushells nose,claret everywhere!
Not a single track went through without fistycuffs & windmills up front spilling onto the barely raised stage.
Upstarts abandonded the gig & I left pleased to have kept my teeth.

Kids,tired of being bothered by your pesky parents?

Just like listening to an album. No presence. I was really surprised. Might as well have stayed at home
