Watching them miss that sitter in time added on was particularly satisfying They will be absolutely gutted they didn’t win that.

Having said that, I wasn’t particularly impressed with the weed. They did not look sharp or threatening in the final third. It bodes well if Burnley and Fulham can put a bit of a run together.

If Burnley and Fulham put a run together, coupled with the fact that WBA have Allardyce as manager we might well end up in the mire.

It is only 14 games played, 24 to go.

We have better squad depth this time around, but anyone can have a poor run and end up in trouble.

We've been relegation favourites ourselves before and ended up half-way up the table.

It is most unlikely that we will end up in the mire. Yesterday was a fluke - one of those days when all the stars are aligned - unfortunately against us.

We were given an awful mauling by one the best teams in club football. They beat Wolves 4 nil a couple weeks ago. 4 nil or 7 nil, it makes not much difference to the table, They got 3 points and we got none.

With respect I haven't assessed yesterday's debacle as a "Fluke". They exposed weaknesses which I have been asserting with vim and vigour for some time.Truncated pre-season,games in quick succession, old squad, many in the twilight of their careers and a dearth of energy and mobility in key areas.

We have 24 more games to play in the PL, the aged squad will be tested furthermore, and I believe my fears of being in the mire will be realised.

We only need a point a game to reach 42.pts and safety.

Tbh you predict the same every season and the fact that we're Palace means you'll always likely be near the mark at some point on the season.

I believe we will flirt with relegation a little but come the end of the season we'll be fine with a comfortable gap. Hopefully with another positive transfer window im between.

It's a squad of 25 players, i.e. two full teams. RH acknowledges he has the strongest squad since his arrival. I expect him to rotate according to need to avoid the meltdown we had at the end of last season.

if we simply match our current inconsistent return we will have 36 pts after just 28 games. We will be fine.

Just finished watching replay with followup which I missed before. At the end Michael Owen said Crystal Palace is rubbish.
Maybe we are but not really your place to say.

That WAS a dreadful display yesterday and many wouldn't have disagreed with him.
