I was expecting a response after the Liverpool result, but no we got a worse gutless performance. To play so badly against 10 men is hard to come to terms with at the moment.

You couldn’t say it was a bad day at the office as it is happening all too frequently now. I back Roy but he needs to get things back on track...

We learned again today and same every game, we are useless when given a throw on.

We learned how poor the BBC coverage was, going back to rewatch, when were on the attack two and we didnt see the "throw on" that the commentator, said Palace have just thrown their throw on, off the pitch to Villa.

We leaned what Ollie Watkins is all about and worth the cash!!

We learn every week Chek at centre back is a liability and every team we play, knows that.

We learned we are passionate supporters with a voice.

We learned Parish now has to do the "nasty side" and make an easy decision with some P45's

We learned again.. our team is in "TROUBLE"!!

If Villa hadn’t gone down to 10 men this could have been another seven goal thrashing. In the second half we could hardly string two passes together and consequently we had to keep fouling Villa to get the ball back. If the invisible Tomkins is fit he should have played instead of Koyate who should have been in midfield. Mid field was to exposed for such a quick attacking team and we should have played four in midfield and Wilf and Batshuayi up front.

I’m not a supporter of RH and wish he would retire because his repetition has been built at Palace on defending and being well organised. This is no longer the case.

I just get a sense that many who have supported him are now beginning to change their position.

Roy is an honourable man. But by reading his Q&A on the palace app, it seems he is very reluctant to step away from management for fear of missing it.
That should not be the clubs problem, but with every week that goes by it's become a glaring problem that we can all see. We shouldn't be scared to move on just because he is a well respected man who probably wont get another job. This is a premier leauge football club and should be run like one, including making big decisions with the clubs best interest at heart. Why should we stand still just to let him retire at the end of the season and walk into the sunset.
It's clearly now past the point of no return. Our form and consistency has been a joke since lockdown.
I like Hodgson and I think the job he did in previous seasons was admirable. But it's gone now and the players know it.
There are options in the squad but he's ignoring them.
For example, our player of the season last year is now a cast off. I'm not saying he's a saviour but how and why has he dropped off so much since last season that he now doesnt get used. Think of some of his fighting displays last season which led the team in many games.
Yes the squad is old and needs a major injection of youth but it is underperforming and letting us, the fans down massively.

WEnger won’t trophies with 30-something players.

Thought we were outrun and outplayed. Dann and Ward both did well against West Ham but came up horribly short today but not convinced that an overweight Sakho or Tomkins who hasn’t played for eight months would have fared any better.

Trying to play on the front foot with two in the centre is clearly beyond the group we have and is exposing the age and weakness in the squad.

Benteke is still sh1t and hasn’t scored as many as he should have done in recent games. Also been caught offside as frequently as Bats. Every time we lose the critics claim it’s because we haven’t used players that have already under performed including the massively overrated Riedewald.

The manager bears a fair degree of responsibility for today but the owners need to look closer and put their hands in their pockets.

Our record since the lockdown last season :
P24 W6 D4 L14

This season we have only won 1 of our last 7 games and that was against 10-man struggling WBA.

My view for some while has been that our squad is simply NOT good enough.

There are 15 players either 29 or in their 30s, players in the 'Twilight' of their careers, players who are injury prone and now lack pace, mobility and energy. They are 'Treading water' and we are only 15 games into a 38 game PL season.
