Tbh I’m surprised this day and age anyone still watches MOTD live from start to finish anyway. It’s too easy to record and fast forward to the goals and skip the waffle. Plus It’s old news by the time it comes on Saturday night, if you don’t see the goals as they happen you can see them 15 minutes after the games finish on the Sky app.

A lot of people, me incl, dont have or will pay for sky/bt/amazon etc so, sometimes MOTD is the only way of getting highlights.

A lot of our own fans struggle to watch our games under Roy, so it would be understandable if neutrals didn't to watch them either! I don't think many of the stalwarts of MoTD like Palace though, which could be to do with the Shearer/Zaha debacle when Parish publicly called out Sir Alan on social media. The Scouse ones I think are still pi$$ed that we had a hand in stopping Gerrard winning a title. Living abroad I don't bother trying to find MotD online anymore, instead just watching the games live. What bothers me here is the constant use of Ian Wright for punditry when we are playing. For whatever reason he seems to go out of his way to pick fault in the team, our performances and Roy. Did Roy sleep with his wife or something? He certainly seems to be doing everything he can to distance himself from us.

To be fair, with the way we’ve been playing, what else could he say?

BBC only interested in the BIG SIX. Leicester get no credit let alone Palace

No internet either then I assume? My surprise is actually that people sit through the whole 90/100 minutes that it’s on, but I suppose if you can’t record it either you’re stuck with the waffle

Tbh, I have watched so much dreary live yawnball on TV this past week a condensed highlights programme is more than welcome ... I can even fast forward if it becomes too tedious.

Good point, well made, I sometimes wish there was a fast forward for live matches.
