If the NHS has stated we will call you and not to call them.. then surely if you get an appointment before others who are deemed to be vulnerable then how can this not be queue jumping?

The vaccine rollout should not be a postcode lottery.

This is vert different to when there are leftover stocks that MUST be used up because they have not been taken up that are then offered to other people further down the list.
You should not be encouraging by your post to suggest that others can apply who are lower down the list.

No they accessed her records and were happy to book her in, not queue jumping.

I just went all the way from Croydon to Barnes for my second jab but was turned away. The centre is 'not allowed' to give the second jab. This despite the country apparently having 4 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine available at the end of 2020 as well as an unknown number of the Pfizer vaccine doses.

So a massive logistical exercise was put in place, worked well but was reversed half way through

Then a second logistical exercise to cancel those who were booked for a second jab. That didn't work well enough as far as I am concerned as I wasn't contacted

And in addition there will be a third logistical exercise to re-book everyone in nine weeks time.

The logistics are probably the most significant challenges in the vaccination process, flip flopping causes massive work that could be better deployed organising more vaccinations and centres.

The Government is so awful in every department. The obvious thing to do was leave the existing arrangements in place but move to the longer gap for future vaccinations.

As usual, clueless. I have been living with this since February. Constant changes in significant policy with negligible notice, including after promising there would not be a change.

I was 'over the moon' to receive the Pfizer jab in December. But my 2nd jab on Jan 4th was cancelled as the government wanted to give more people a first dose. My 2nd jab will not be now until March.

On the face of it a sensible decision UNTIL I discovered that Pfizer have not trialled a 12 week gap between doses and both the WHO and FDA have stated that the 2nd dose should not be given later than 6 weeks.

It is possible I have become an uninvited 'guinea-pig' with my protection not guaranteed beyond the end of January.

Had my first the other day, my second is end of march, the makers say it must be within 3 weeks for second jab, the w.h.o say it must be in 3 weeks to, the CONS ervatives led by boris say 12 weeks will suffice,(nothing to do with claiming numbers of vacinations achieved here), I know who i would trust, what the fcuk do the vacine makers know? In boris we trust gentlemen, in boris we trust!

Far from ideal, but at least you've had the first dose, so that's good news!

I took my 88 year old Mum to get her first jab yesterday.
This is generally a logistical triumph of the highest order with Doctors working long hours together with thousands of volunteers to get people vaccinated.
Well done Great Britain is what I say!!!!!
Europe is way behind us on this so let's be positive and be thankful that at some point soon we will be in a better place.
No thanks to bloody China!!
