If JS is out for a while Roy could try PVA infant of TM. Face it PVA is not playing well at the moment as a left back.

Today was almost a must win game for us, especially considering our next 3 games, all away to Wolves, Man City and Arsenal. 1 point at best out of them games.

Really like Mitchell at left back. Very fast. Good solid defender. Will only get better. Could be up there like AWB before long. We should try playing van Arnott somewhere else like the wing. The guy has talent.

I agree!

A very poor match between two teams today, one being us.

The form of some of our players is worrying, any other team would have beaten us easily today.

Off day.. no... playing well no...
Tactics.. no..
Roy got any clues????

lol

When it was very evident that Sheff.U's only way to prevent us from thrashing them toady was to foul at every given opportunity especially when we had them on the run, I feel you're being very hard on our manager and I feel you're doing it regardless of what's happening on the pitch, you saw their tactics didn't you, you saw them fouling us again and again ..how exactly is that our managers fault?

So overall possession stats; Sheff U 55%, Palace 45% against the bottom team in the Division with only 2 points.

Yet according to you we had them on the run and they kicked us off the park to prevent a thrashing..??

Additionally they only had 3 yellow cards - hardly call that attritional..!!

Just an observation..!!

Let's hear it for young Tyrick Mitchell who played with some aplomb.
Another game and more valuable experience for the young chap.

It was a very pleasant performance, PVA should be nearer the opposition penalty box where he can use his eye for scoring.

I always thought he’d been OK which is great for someone breaking through the youth ranks if you can start as being OK at PL level let alone the potential to grow.

Today, he looked a step up from ok to me. Defended well, showed more pace than I thought he had, got forward and looked calm and composed with the ball at feet, picking a few good passes. Was the highlight of the game for me asides from an outrageous goal of course!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Quite. We win yet some are still not happy!

I appreciate we are nowhere near a top Premier league team, but we won't be without major investment. Just enjoy the evening.

Also, Brighton are 3-1 down!

I agree aunty, it was never going to be a classic, but it was a comfortable win, job done, dull as it is most of the time, we’re never going to be anymore than a team just keeping out of the relegation battle with out major changes, so let’s just enjoy the win and Eze’s brilliant goal.
