"On-demand" means that YOU have total control over the decision making process.

If approval has to be given by others then you DON'T have control. Others do.

So you lied.

You can object to all the principles that are involved in any terms you wish. That's your right.

Posting lies is not.

I thought you apologised when you were wrong?

I'm not wrong and you're just a plonker looking for a rise.

Ok here is one more chance to prove you aren't wrong.

You said:-

"Abortion will now be available on-demand, for any reason, up to birth."

If that's not wrong, please explain why.

If not please apologise.

There are no requirements other than a two practitioner's judgement that can stop a women accessing an abortion up to birth.

The culture within the modern day medical profession is heavily slanted towards pro-choice, so I don't expect many abortions are rejected.

So unless I'm shown statistics....which I wasn't provided with...that show a significant percent of these abortions are actually rejected by practitioners since this rule change then I'm happy for this to be regarded as 'on-demand'.

Jacinda fckwittier is the most extreme PM I've seen. On one hand she is a white apologist for murder at the Moscs, whilst on the other she endorses infanticide.

She isn't the only mentalist in government,.....look around

UK, France, USA, Canada,.....

If they do, I certainly hope they'd use a condom as she'd quite happily dispose of any emergent result.

Pin dancing!

You can regard whatever you like. Doesn't make it true though.

On-demand is absolute. You are either in control or you aren't. There is no nuance available.

I rest my case. I have better things to do than argue with liars who refuse to apologise.

Anyone remember the days of a bottle of gin and some knitting needles ?

This is a social fck-up that politics has gotten a grip of. Recipe for disaster.

Again you are wrong, the legislation [Link] section 11 Provision of abortion services to women more than 20 weeks pregnant clearly states ,
(1) A qualified health practitioner may only provide abortion services to a woman who is more than 20 weeks pregnant if the health practitioner reasonably believes that the abortion is clinically appropriate in the circumstances.
The health practitioner need to be qualified in giving that advice, they health practitioner needs to reasonably believe the abortion is clinically appropriate. From the same section
have regard to—(i)
all relevant legal, professional, and ethical standards to which the qualified health practitioner is subject; and
The health practitioner needs to working to the best guidance set out by their professional governing body, typically I would imagine the for Obstetrician will be covered by the Royal Australian and New Zealand of Obstetrician and Gynecologist (RANZCOG) there guidance on late abortions is here [Link] we can argue what counts and doesn’t but it is a long way from ‘On demand’ and includes where women have been denied access to abortion advice prior to 20 weeks in the case of sex slavery, or in cases where in twins one twin has so poorly developed that to continue could effect the life of the other. This is harrowing stuff and not nice reading it is way making false statement is so disturbing, when the traumatic decision to have a late abortions , which is rare , is taken there is usually traumatic and harrowing rationale behind them.
In terms of evidence traditionally if you claim something you should be backing it up with evidence that is the way it works not for you to make statement and then me disprove you. But, we are in lockdown so… Abortion statistics in New Zealand for 2020 will not be published until June , currently from stats I saw for 2019 there is only the percentage of abortions carried out by 9 weeks , if this falls it might be an indication of an increase in late abortions, but you will probably need to do an FOI request to get the detail.
You are unlikely to be able to get statistics on whether there is high disagreement or agreement between health practitioner on whether an abortion is appropriate. I’m sorry but I’m going to have use a term that relates to a statistical phenomenon that in this context is unfortunately named so apologies for that and I do mean that sincerely I have no intention to upset, it is survivor bias.
This is the logical error of concentrating on the people or things that made it past some selection process and overlooking those that did not, in this case if one health practitioner reasonably believes that the abortion is clinically appropriate then it is likely that another health practitioner will be of a similar mind. In these cases you will get a lot of agreement, but for one health practitioner to feel it is clinically appropriate it would have to have gone through many checks, from original GP consultation to reading a pamphlet or googling to see if the circumstances are appropriate. The underlying number of women who might want an abortion after 20 weeks but never get to the qualified health care practitioner is unknown. Most important it would be incredibly strange for a woman to get to get 20 weeks into a pregnancy and decide she had changed her mind on a whim, given that abortion prior to 20 weeks are available. That makes for poor statistical evidence but it might be considered inappropriate and time consuming for Health professional to collect all data on us.
So again your statement is remains false.

Living here in NZ, it's definitely a contentious issue. Some love Jacinda (most, to be fair). Some think she's the devil (conservatives).

I adore her...but can't support such an extreme abortion stance. She's a tad too progressive for me...but such a kind, compassionate leader.
