The difference was they closed us down with at least two players when ever we had the ball and no matter where we were, we on the other hand had Zimmer frames to help as we watched them do whatever they liked and any where they liked.

The big question is why we had no intensity in anything we tried, we were too slow to attack and too slow to defend which made their job so easy it was actually embarrassing to watch.

That was a very tame performance, I thought the FA Cup warranted some 'never say die', 'backs to the wall' 'blood & guts' and all that.
What we got tonight from Palace was basically pathetic!
Batshuayi is useless, Ayew is too greedy. Van Aanholt and Reiderwald not up to standard.

As for teamwork and having a good go at Wolves tonight zilch! 2 foul throws, no shots on target as well, a corner as well in the dying seconds placed magnificently in the arms of Ruddy!
No wonder Buckland didn't bother to run up the pitch and jostle in the penalty area for it as he's 6ft 5inches tall!!!
As someone posted at least nobody wasted money on actually buying a ticket to watch it!!

It was totally unacceptable.
NO shots on target in the whole game.
NO threat at all in the final third.
Foul throws.
Twice, unable to control a ball on the sideline.

It was a total and utter mess and I suppose there are those who might be considering whether the players have had enough of Messrs Hodgson and Lewington.

I read a quote form an ex Liverpool player once who played under Roy and it went along the lines of, they would be playing a team who most of the players thought they had a chance of winning against but then Roy would set them up defensively which would change the player's mindset into believing they could possibly lose.

This could easily be happening at Palace whereby the players always look to play sideways or backwards as they are sent out with a negative instead of positive mindset, which is evident as not many, as a first instinct look to play forwards.

I am not sure what balance and tactics could have been used with the starting 11 that would have outfought and broken down such a well organised team as Wolves. It is the players qualify which is the issue in my view. COYP

Team of internationals was it not? Spanning Ireland, England, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Ghana.

The players were awful make no mistake, but I could not see any evidence of tactics or motivation which surely rests upon the shoulders of the coaching staff.

That may be true but during the game you could hear the bench yelling them to get forwards. There is no point in that approach in a cup match as you hav3 to with go forward in the competition. Wolves were just too well organised for the side we put out.

There is a silver lining (for me) which is we can now concentrate on the PL and pick up points until we get the the 40 points threshold. Also, he will have learned a lot about which of the 14 out of contract players he wants to keep.

Glad I opted for Married @ First Sight Australia with the missus! Yep, that’s how much faith I had that we’d get a result this evening ... sad on a number of levels!

Nice to know my gut instinct is firing on all cylinders tho. DM me for tomorrow’s winning lottery numbers if you so wish

I agree you can hear the bench shouting that but at what point do they do that at the start of a match or when we are chasing a game.

Didn't think there was any particular plan other than to get some game time into players that haven't played so much recently and most of those players let themselves down.

Still, at least it dispels the myth that Benteke is good at holding the ball up and the leggy Riedewald is the answer to our midfield problems which I keep reading from the so called judges on social media.

PVA looks as though he couldn't give a monkeys but Roy has manage that situation carefully in case Mitchell gets injured.

Only players who were OK were Tomkins, Ayew and McCarthy.

Shots on target aren't part of the plan.
