They don’t make them. They propose them.

When you proposed to your wife did you just assume she would say yes and pop down the pub to celebrate with your mates, or wait to hear her conditions, or refusal?

Who makes the budgetary and foreign policy laws that the EU parliament cannot veto?

Basically, Cameron was forced into a Brexit vote to protect the conservative party from UKIP. He was massively unprepared for the Johnson/Cummings media campaign (take back control of our borders(massive laugh) , NHS funding on travel bus (would be massive laugh if people hadnt died), lucrative trade deals (U.S shaft everyone, India require relaxation in immigration to UK, and Australia already shafted us).
Still, they are proven liars and laugh about it.
No solution to the Northern Ireland situation so Brexit isnt done yet ,but just walked away from by the people who wanted the ideologidy of Brexit which doesnt really exist.
Why would anybody not want access to our nearest 20 odd trading nations.
Still, I expect there are people who can explain how wonderfully better off we are now.

We can elect the people that make our laws.

No one. They aren’t laws.

That’s the administration of laws, carried out as a delegated responsibility.

We do and did when a member of the EU.

The only difference is back then we wisely delegated some decisions under the principle of subsidiarity. Something Thatcher understood pretty well.

The MEPs that we elected had no means of implementing their manifestos, they cannot propose laws, they can vote against proposed laws but in some types of legislation they can't even do that. If you can't elect the people that make the laws that govern you, then you do not live in a democracy.

I suggest you do a little research before posting such stupidity.

The Council determines foreign policy.

The Commission proposes and manages budgets.

The laws to deal with this already exist.

A MEP having a manifesto would be as pointless as a member of the HoL having one.

It’s a chamber for scrutiny and amendment. Not for the creation of policy.

Before you criticise anything it’s recommended to actually know what it does!

Exactly, as they have no power to propose laws.
I'm glad you admit it is just a chamber for scrutiny and amendment, a bit like the House of Lords or the Supreme People's Assembly in North Korea.
