Not bad really is it ?

You conveniently forgot financial services which was on my list, oops

What happened to the massive cries about fishing during brexit 'negotiations'??? Conveniently forgotten unsurprisingly. Go explain 'not bad really is it?' to the fishermen and their families that have lost everything after decades working hard and being rewarded while EU citizens.

"The way quotas are set centrally by the EU is also seen as being hugely unfair on British fishermen, as they can often end up getting only a small proportion of the catch within their own waters, as the following statistics show:

40% of Denmark’s entire fishing take comes from Britain’s territorial waters.
In the Celtic Sea, France gets nearly three times the British allocation of Dover sole, roughly four times more cod and five times more haddock. France has 84% of the quota for cod in the English Channel, while Britain has only 9%.
A single Dutch trawler the Cornelis Vrolijk, had the right to catch 23% of England’s entire fishing quota. In comparison, the entire small inshore fishing fleet for the whole of England is given 4% of the quota.
European fishermen take 173 times more herring, 45 times more whiting, 16 times more mackerel and 14 times more haddock and cod out of UK waters than British fishermen do.
The amount of fish landed in British ports has declined from around one million tons in 1973 (the year Britain joined the EEC) to 446,000 tons in 2016."

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Maybe your tunnel vision got in the way of reading it properly.

I was present at a George Eustace talk today. During questions he stated clearly that whilst some Australian livestock farming standards are adequate, in many areas they are far behind what we consider acceptable.

It seems DEFRA and the Department of Trade are in very different places on the recent deal.

Eustace then stated that consumer pressure would force Australia to ban mulesing. He didn’t appear to know that only a minority of meat goes direct to the consumer. Meat processors have almost no interest in ethics or quality so it’s a complete fallacy that you can rely on consumer power.

Why do they use vets when animals are sick if they have no ethics. We're not talking about some goat herder in the himalayas. Consumer power and the media will drive any changes. One bad video or report will cost them a whole lot more than being low quality or un ethical. You see how easy it is to cancel someone for telling a joke. These Farmers need to be aware.

No, we are talking about enormous monoculture agribusinesses.

There are very good vets in the Himalayas

If you can tell me where the meat comes from in your Sainsbury’s shepherd’s pie you may have a point

Most meat disappears into processors. I defy you to reveal into which products. The public can’t directly affect this market. That is the stupidity of Useless Eustace

'made with meat from many countries'

I gather that just one company, JCB, is the processor of meat globally.

Why do brexiteers persist in this completely false argument that the EU will breakup.

It is nonsense.

The EU can move ahead without the UKs continued obstruction.

Vaccines actually are nothing to do with brexit, and the UK is now dependent on the EU for them anyway.

The UK, if it had remained, would probably have tried to block the recovery fund, and the China/EU deal to appease Biden.

With friends like Johnson, who needs enemies?

Taking back our waters is he? Well Johnson they are full of s**t, just like you are.
